I saw it on X. I told his dad Brian “Nico to Staley TD” is going to be sweet! He agreed. That's been said by AP, Callahan, and our very own @allvolrecruiting. Did you see that elsewhere too?
Thanks
“I had a great time with the student section up there,” Staley said, “It was a close game but we pulled it out.” The win was a big one for Tennessee as the found a way when they didn’t have their A game on offense. “Just the team playing together,” Staley said. “They kept their composure until the end. Defense stepped up big and caught two picks and that was great.
His home state Gamecocks have been pushing hard since recently offering. He admits he appreciated the offer but his ties to Knoxville are deep. “The relationships I’ve built with these coaches since day one has been amazing,” Staley said. “It’s hard to switch up on a group of men like that.” “Coach Pope is like another father to me. I talk to him every day. The relationship is just great.”
-VQ“This fanbase is awesome man,” Staley said. “I love it. First time I’ve been in the student section tonight and it was great. I’m looking forward to being back.” Tennessee head coach Josh Heupel likely wishes he had both Staley and Mike Matthews on campus currently with the Vols thin at wideout. “He is just ready to get me on campus,” Staley said, “Ready for me to come in and work. I’ll just come in and do my job, work for it and get some playing time on the field.”
Of course he is. However, he appears to have the ability to catch footballs and the speed to out run the defenders. He is committed ton Tennessee and likely to enter college in January 2024. His attitude appears to be extremely positive and those are the players we need to recruit. Those wh have superior talent and the attitude to succeed. This kid is still in HS. Not eligible to play in a college football game yet.
