He said on Twitter that all him not signing with USC was hogwash. We will see on this one.

I would love to pull this kid, but he seems loyal to SC. FSU stole one of our potential WRs, maybe it all evens out and we flip this kid. I know, probably wishful thinking

Not real sure how loyal this guy is to SC. He was once committed to VT but, that could have been before SC offered.

I think we're fine at CB.

This guy is special on offense.

I think we are fine barring injury. I like potential of shamburger and Byrd. I think labruzza will be a player just not sure if that's CB/S. I would expect Abernathy to be a CB/Nickel. Buchanan and Osborne are TBD. Terrell bailey looked interesting coming out don't remember how big he is though.

I saw some film of him yesterday and he looked ok. Got beat a lot actually. I don’t see how he’s a 4 Star OL prospect. Just my opinion

CJP said as much (we were fine at CB).

I think that was just Pruitt being irritated because he felt a reporter was criticizing their recruiting class. I seriously doubt that Pruitt really believes we're fine at CB. He knows what championship caliber secondaries look like, and ours has a long way to go.

Our 4*s aren’t instantly trash. Poor S&C, scheme and coaching. MAde them seem worse.

I have no clue if we have championship caliber or not. But don’t think anyone does since we’ve never seen them when they were actually coached. I’m excited to see what a group of kids look like who are actually coached up.

9 of our 14 DB's on scholarship were rated 4* coming out of hs. I highly doubt the recruiting services missed on all of them. Let's see what they look like with real coaching.

Sorry to get off topic here, but t has Hubbs or anybody said anything about Thompson any more than “at one point trying to get him to visit?”

Is there smoke here or not?

Defense will be much better if Abernathy is relegated to special teams.

Not off topic at all and a fair question. It's the first thing that comes to mind everyone starts a transferring player thread. Is there any reason to think said player will look to us, or tied to us in any way?

Hubbs said we're talking to him and he will visit after the dead period, so there's definitely smoke here. Will he eventually sign? Not sure. Long time usc commit, and they appear to be holding a spot open. Plus he tweeted he was all gamecock.

I do hope we land him though. First off, I hate uscjr. Second off, they "stole" two recruits I was really hoping would be in our class in Wonnum and former UT commit Jaycee Horn.

Taking this kid from them would serve as a small measure of revenge.
