Horror movies comes in two forms..the kind that make you jump, and the kind that gives you nightmares into adulthood. So I will say The Exorcist...that mess stays with you a long time. Especially when you first see it as a 11 year old. But in my teenage years we had all the original classics. Nightmare on Elm street, Halloween, Friday the 13th..etc.

When I was about 7 or 8, hocus pocus scared me to death. Now, not many of them do, the last one to leave an impression was Eli roths "clown."

I think after about age thirteen horror movies stopped frightening and became unintentional comedies for the most part. When I was younger both The Exorcist and Nightmare on Elm Street kept me up late at night.

I saw critters when I was about 6 or so. Was terrified of them for a year. The next year saw Harry and the Hendersons and became terrified of big foot. Had nightmares of him for about a year.

As an adult I've watched countless horror movies and nothing has really given me nightmares or made me uneasy after the movie was over.

I guess The Shining and The Exorcist are two classic horror films that are scaryish. I'm more into the ones that make you disturbed after watching. Like Irreversible and High Tension ( until the end ). When you finish them you are like, damn ....that was messed up

I'm not into horror films. But I have heard that the recent conjuring film is really scary.

One that scared me the most, at the time....It, part 1. Part 2 was stupid.

Night of the Grizzly. I've never been scared of demonic, or slasher movies, but I watched that as a kid with my dad. I'm still terrified of stinking bears today. I literally get stressed at the zoo with them closed up. I'd rather fist fight a bus full of isis than a stupid bear.

Solely from a "I am legitimately creeped out" standpoint, I personally don't think it gets much better than the Paranormal Activities. I know not everyone agrees, but to me, found footage-style is the way to go in terms of horror movies.

The Hills Have Eyes is a brutal film to watch. I would also add Last House on the Left to brutal scenes. I literally was laughing in the theatre and at home with the Paranormal Actvity movies. I

When I was a kid/young teen, it was The Exorcist. Possession movies always got me. As an adult, nothing bothers me now. Still a big fan of 80's slasher movies and always will be.

The one with Bette Midler and Sarah Jessica Parker? Interesting.

The Exorcist especially if you watch it the first time with your evil older sister in an empty house. The Changeling with George C. Scott. The slasher/gore porn flicks are beyond tedious.

I used to be scared of movies with the devil possessing people, but now I believe in science.

I remember bawling my eyes out at like age 5 because of the flying monkeys on Wizard of Oz. Scariest shiz I've ever seen.
