The ending to Carrie was pretty good as well. The first time I watched it I jumped out of my skin

When I was 8-9 I saw Dolls, scared me enough that I would jump on and off my bed afraid one was under my bed. I still hate porcelain dolls. Haven't seen anything scary in years really.

The Hills Have Eyes is a brutal film to watch. I would also add Last House on the Left to brutal scenes. I literally was laughing in the theatre and at home with the Paranormal Actvity movies. I

I'm with you on PA that was just some silly sh*t. I feel that way about most haunting movies. Agree with your earlier post too, I like finishing a movie then sitting there thinking "Wtf did I just see?"

The worst of all time for horror and hype has to be Blair Witch. I booed in the theatre at that one. What a waste

I thought the entire movie was bad, except the ending.

I thought the ending, with the dude standing in the corner, was great.

Not to me. I don't Wanna ruin it for anybody but it's freaky.

2 was a better story IMO, but the scary thing about the first Conjuring was the unknown. The entity in 2 (well, both entities actually) was kind of in your face from early on. The weird "slender man" thing was poorly done and not scary, especially when the dog morphed into it. That seems to be the main gripe with people.

It was ok. A better possession story than scary movie.

The Strangers for me since there are people crazy enough to do stuff like that.

I don't think I slept well for a few weeks because of that movie. Also, I always thought it was cool Merle Haggard had a song in there since his band was called The Strangers

yeah, i understand why a lot of people hate that film, but the ending is really damn good/creepy honestly.

and i have to give the film brownie points just for the marketing/promotion and what not when the film was originally released. That, and its impact as a milestone for found footage films in cinema history.

In my youth I was a bit freaked out by The Thing.

My #1 favorite horror/sci-fi film of all time. Didn't necessarily scare the crap out of me as some films did when I was younger, but those effects are still some of the best of its time.
