So it must not be true right?

I don't know why you always post the crooks and liars link. You either think I run that website or think that it's the only one I read. Like I said before, it's at the bottom of my bookmarks. So many better sites out there.

But thanks for the compliment.....I think..:the_finger:

So it must not be true right?

No, I am complimenting you for posting something legitimate.

The reason I do crooksandliars is the link you sent me never worked for the earth exploding into a fireball.

It is more humor for me than any thing. It is kinda like crooksandliars is the cure all.....so if you have any thing it must come from that.........I am being silly with c&l......

Methods can be taken away. The fact is there are people who are willing to throw themselves on top of grenades, jump in the path of a bullet, etc. for their cause. You are basically mocking anyone who is willing to give their life for their cause. Who cares what method they use. The fact is the intent is still the same.

Buttttttt, there is a difference between defending one's country or self and blowing up a bunch of innocent people(Mostly woman and children). Oh yes, those terrorist really hurt our military  with 9/11. Let me see...stock brokers, bankers, secretaries, day care workers and children, etc...

The fact still remains that people are willing to die for what they believe in. How they do it and what actions they take related to that are another issue.

USS Cole, Beirut Marine Barracks, Khobar Towers, Somalia, etc.

So, are these really "Terror Attacks" or are they decentralized campaigns by small anti US groups? That being said, what is a terror attack? Since the folks participating in these decentralized campaigns are in essense civilians commiting crimes against civilians, then should open war on regions run by and supporting these groups be fair game...all civilians included?

As Tony Snow so simply implied in his press conference today, everything that happened when Clinton was President is considered a terrorist attack. Everything that has happened all over the Globe since 9/11 is something else.

He said that there hasn't been a terrorist attack on U.S. soil since 9/11. (Must be forgetting about the Anthrax thing that followed, oh did they ever catch that person?) Anyway, for the most part it's true.

Then he went on implying that during Clinton's years there were many as he named off things such as the U.S. Cole, Somolia and a couple of other things.

If found this humorous because he said ON U.S. SOIL when referring to Bush but then turned around and tried to make it seem as if the U.S. Cole etc were on U.S. soil. Nice try Tony, but if you really want to look at what has happened since 9/11 internationally, you need to bring some kleenex.

It is a game of semantics that Tony Snow is playing...the game is called politics. U.S. Embassies are considered U.S. soil. The same is true for U.S. Naval craft.

In Iraq and Afghanistan, we have claimed absolutely no land for "America," in other words, we have not conquered. Therefore, attacks in Iraq against military personnel, as well as civilian contractors, are not considered to occur on U.S. soil. They are definitely against U.S. interests, though.

So I guess our blackhawk in Somalia was U.S. soil? If that's the case, you can throw in all our tanks, helicopters, planes and hummers that have been attacked in Iraq.

What about the "Green Zone" in Iraq? Is that considered U.S. Soil?

No, our BlackhawkS in Somalia were not attacks on U.S. soil. The Green Zone in Iraq is considered Iraq.
