Schiano Sunday

100%, but Schiano isnt Stoops. I think Stoops would have killed it at A&M. Hes really limited to the basketball resources at Kentucky.
This is just my prediction and opinion (so not saying anyone else's opinion is incorrect or wrong) - I could see Stoops going back to KY for one year and then taking over at Iowa. I think Kirk Ferentz gets one more year and gets to 200+ wins with Iowa (not career wins). Iowa may not be a premier job but its his alma mater could be a good fit.

I’m sure Herbie and all the other OSU fanboy media types that chastised and lectured us for Schiano Sunday, and talked about how good of a coach he was will push really hard for OSU to hire him as the next coach if Day gets fired sometime the next year or two because he can’t beat Michigan. Unless Pruitt turned a blind eye to pedophelia, we definitely avoided the worser individual.

Schiano, as a GA, followed the university and NCAA protocol by telling his boss, Tom Bradley. Bradley and Paterno decided not to pursue and to cover up....

(And that is all based 25 year third party hearsay from McQueary's depo)

Did Schiano meet a moral obligation (if the depo was true)? Absolutely not

Perhaps Stoops could make Iowa football watchable? That said, there are few easier paths to 10 wins in the Power 5 than the western division of the Big 10.

Oddly enough, they were all silent when OSU didn’t hire him as HC a few years ago. I never figured out why not, if he was the man and coach they said he was when UT didn’t hire him.
Ironic, eh?

He wasn't worth backing the Brinks truck up to. Nor is Elko. They have screwed this pooch, they just don't know it yet.
Doubt Elko is getting a mega-contract. Prolly start him at $5 mil per with a make-good boilerplate. Less than what it would’ve taken to compensate Stoops AND foot his buyout.

Honestly he would have likely done better than Pruitt
Probably well enough to last more than 3 years but would he have had a #1 CFP team in year 5? He would have done well enough to last 6 or 7 years before getting canned for underachieving.

As screwed up as that whole time was, the program is better now than had Schanio been hired even if that meant the Pruitt era had never happened.

I bet they at least double what he was making at Duke, which was 3.5. Wouldn't be surprised if it isn't 8. Way too much for way too little proven on the field at the HC position. People act like he brought Duke up from nothing. Cutcliffe did, even though it tailed off at the end production wise (but not talent wise IMO).

Who at least recruited most of the talent that made 2022 possible. Schiano wouldn’t have even given us that IMO
2020
Rutgers3–63–65th (East)
2021
Rutgers5–82–76th (East)
2022
Rutgers4–81–87th (East)
2023
Rutgers6–63–65th (East)

It appears he has had tremendous success at Rutgers. This proves the media correct as we are worse off without him.

Took a 3 win team and won 9…that’s RESULTS not overhype.

Schiano would’ve done a better job than Pruitt and we wouldn’t have had the McDonald bags fiasco.

Emergency responders were called to an intersection near the Jerome Schottenstein Center where Schiano struck the 26-year-old male student around 7 a.m., according to the Columbus Dispatch. The cyclist suffered a head injury and was transported to a nearby hospital. He is expected to survive

This little incident got swept under the rug when he was the DC at Ohio State.

Schiano doubled Rutgers win total compared to prior 4 years.

Pruitt won 6 fewer games in 18-20 than prior 3 years and that even factors in the 0-8....

The best thing about Pruitt was he was so crappy, we finally hired a coach that was worth a damn....
