he is gonna sign with miss st. friday

That was last Friday. Although I will reiterate that nothing is set in stone with Hopson, at this point he does not now intend to sign with anyone during the early signing period (which I believe ends Wednesday, anyway, but somebody with a better understanding of the rules should confirm.)

His recruitment should be considered wide open.

ESPN is slow with everything. Look back further in this thread. I posted said he is supposed to commit friday before ESPN. I saw it from a MSU 'recruiting expert' better source than ESPN.

Trust us on this one.... you will find stuff here 2-3 days before ESPN unless its a huge story.

Edit: I actually said he would commit 'tomorrow' in my post assuming it was thursday. But the link I went to said he was supposed to commit the coming friday. Not the next one. Either way I posted it on wednesday.. long before ESPN.

If he doesn't sign this week and opts out till the spring period.. then I doubt he goes to MSU. But who knows.

I think MSU's best shot to get him is now and not waiting till spring.

agree. it wouldn't make much sense for him to hold off on a commitment to a school and turn around and sign with the same school at a later time. but, these are 18 year old kids, so you never know.

it was a joke, if I had known the AAU coach's name I would have used it.

Rob Lewis confirms what a poster on Volquest said -- that his source says Hopson's top 3 will be TN, Tech & KY. The poster said TN/Tech are the leaders with KY third.

It is very early, but smoke is starting to filter up. There may be a fire....

It's going to be awhile before he makes any kind of decision. So might as well sit back, relax, and enjoy this basketball season and worry about it in the spring signing period.

Good point. As in, let's not all check back here every other day like we did all summer over EW.

All I know is that he is waiting until the spring(or at least a really good chance of it) and is listing UT, UK, MSU, UNC, and GT. He will likely land in the SEC, though.

ok......if we land him how ironic would it be landing a better guard than EW....
