Scotty Hopson

Who knows... I still have questions concerning Pearl's ability to develop talent. It may not matter if we sign Hopson though. Next year's lineup may look like this; Ramar, Scotty, Prince, Tyler, and Chism. Loaded if we sign Scotty. If we don't, we won't hit many shots from the perimeter. Ramar, Prince, and Tyler are all slashers. If Prince doens't fill out, Tatum could start at the 3 and Tabb at the 2. Bottom line- we need another scorer.

Woolridge?

Unless he makes a shocking improvement, I doubt he makes a major contribution next year. Tatum was a similar prospect and he redshirted.

Hi. I just wanted to write and say how excited I am about getting married in September. I know that I'm not probably supposed to write about that on here, but I am really excited. Thanks for letting me share.

Also, quick question. When was the last time a team grabbed the number 1 ranking w/o a single Mickey D's All-American?

Also, I believe that Maryland is the only team to win a NC with no McD's AAs since that recognition started. That was in 2002.

UT will be the second.

Enjoy your freedom until then, because life as you know it will end in September.

Just a shot in the dark... but this post had to come from a future bride, right?

Congratulations.

Does anyone other than me get the gut felling that Hopson will sign with the CATS and that this has been determined for a while. Especially after Gillespie was asked if he thought they would sign a big recruit in the off season and quickly responded yes. Maybe he knows something or is just confident.

I have a good feeling about it as well but I think mine stems from the comments I've read from his mother.............basically she said that they definitely welcomed UK to recruit Scotty and that the family had been puzzled for some time on why UK or Little Brother had not come after him. I just get the feeling that if the decision was left up to her-he would come to Ky. Hope we get a chance to see what he can do in blue.

And should be taken with all of the authority that implies. I have heard this week from a pretty reliable source that, although no decision has been made, Scotty still really likes UT.

On another note, UHA begins regional play tomorrow (I believe.) If they win, they will most likely face a tough Henderson Co. team in the semis, and the winner will be a heavy favorite against whomever they meet in the finals to advance to the state tournament. Madisonville-North Hopkins' chances took a significant blow when standout guard Jon Hood broke his hand.

Does it mean anything that Rivals no longer has UK listed as one oh his schools and hasn't for a little while now? Meanwhile, UAB was recently added. It has UT, MSU, UC, and UofL listed as 'high,' and Texas and UAB listed as 'medium.'

No, it means nothing. He has 0 chance of landing in Birmingham, some chance at landing at UK.

Should we change this thread title from "Scotty Hopson" to "Scotty in orange appreciation thread" or something similar?
