SEC Expansion (merged)

georgia, lsu, auburn, and tenn aren't exactly currently lighting it up. bama and florida werent' lighting it up till recently. you guys act like all these programs are consistantly good and that is garbage. there are only so many elite recruits to go around in the SEC. the texas/california recruiting jugernaught outweighs anything the sec will and can offer. the pac-16 instantly becomes the top conference in the nation with the addition of texas and oklahoma.
LSU is really struggling. They've won 2 National Titles in the last 6 years.

The question is will a Pac 16 conference end up more or less on even status with the SEC or surpass it IYO?

LSU still went 9-4 which puts them up with the mighty Trojans last year and one win shy of your conference leader.

Yeah, if only they could have beaten powerhouses like UCLA, Washington State, and Arizona State, their nine wins would be validated.

And LSU lost to the national champion and third ranked team in the country by a combined 19 points.

I see they played four teams ranked in the top 18 and two in the top 3. What's your point?

my point is winning 7-9 games in the SEC isn't exactly an accomplishment of a lifetime. particurally with the standard joke non conference games.

You're right. The SEC needs to buck up and start playing the Eastern Washingtons and Marylands of the world.

hat also enjoys twisting that knife regurally. nothign either of you can do can equal the pain i already feel by being a cal fan.

If we didn't have basketball, I would have likely taken my own life at this point.

i hang out mostly here for the non vol football forums, but i occasionally visit other pac-10 school sites, and obviously the cal board.

Good deal. I just wonder what other fans are thinking about expansion. Especially the Big 12 fans and the ones at ACC schools like FSU, VT and Miami that are mentioned as possible SEC targets. I'm curious to know where they want to end up.

Texas fans think that whatever conference they join will automatically replace the SEC as the best conference in the country.

From the A&M forums majority there want to join the SEC.
Here is a page I have been watching today on their site-
