I have lived in the North and I can tell you that if you take The Beverly Hillbilly's, Hee Haw, The Andy Griffith Show, Dukes of Hazzard and a collection of all the Jeff Foxworthy aecdotes, you have, what they believe, is a concise understanding of all things South. This is true, while living there, a little old lady ask me very sincerely if people down here had running water yet. That, my fried is where most of their smart remarks originate, total ignorance of the blissful lifestyle we enjoy down here. You just have to overlook it. Most just don't know any better.

I've done business with people in every corner of the country. I've lived in Spartanburg, Charlotte, Seattle, Chicago, Atlanta, and now rural Missouri. The most ignorant people I've met... are those like this author who tend to know absolutely nothing about the people they condemn and even less about politics. They mistake their own indoctrination for "education"... then look down their noses at people much wiser than they are.

PS- not a Trump fan either... but the snobbery of folks like this is ridiculous.

To answer your question... there are more evangelicals in California than there are residents in Tennessee. And roughly the same number in Ohio as Tennessee.

So you are going to help perpetuate the myth that it takes a college education to be "smart" or successful?

Education has much too much become indoctrination.

I am not trying to question your career choices here man but your list of cities seems to get worse with every promotion.

What's next stop? Portland then Minneapolis then NYC?

Thats part of the problem we have today. I know a ton of people who are super smart that dont have anything higher than high school diploma. Just because someone isn't book smart doesnt mean they aren't intelligent, and some people just aren't good at test taking in general. Just because someone doesnt go to college doesnt mean they aren't smart.

I honestly didn't know is why I was asked. Thanks for providing the link. The thing about California isn't that surprising. The progressive liberals in California are actually confined mostly to areas in and around LA and San Francisco. I spend quite a bit of time on the Northwest slopes of Tahoe. Lots of Republicans there but a totally different ideological Republican than those here in the deep south
