SEC STANDINGS

Just remember need to up us about two seeds from where Creme has us. He has us at 11 so were about a 9 right now. Last season he had us as a six in the final and we ended up a four.

He really, really, really does not like Tenneseee.

I won’t benefit him with even a click anymore, still can’t understand why we have a weird, old, white, pharma rep doing women’s college bracketology.

It’s not like he’s ever even close, even with all his “expertise” I’d much rather see that content from someone like Lachina Robinson or Andraya Carter. At least they are in touch with the sport, players and coaches.

Man, that's offense and childishly stereotypical on so many levels. Will we ever stop doing this?

Creme gets plenty of clicks without us. I don't think it's a matter of extreme dislike. IMO we flatter ourselves to think he actually puts that much effort into us. I just think he's understandably skeptical to dismissive of the LVs due to years of us being "consistently underwhelming". He's been burned by us too many times.

The men get 87+ different sites and a really cool compilation site.

We get….. Creme. (And I think herhoops and maybe 1 other.)

Heck we should start a VolNation Bracketology at this point. I’m sure most here look at the numbers more than Creme.

I am so jealous it’s so fun to look at

It's crazy to me that ya'll think Creme is not in touch or doesn't look at numbers. It's literally his job, it's freaking ESPN and he's all over TV. Of course he does his homework. Why would he not? Not sure his exact % of accuracy, but I'm pretty sure we're just mad at him bc he filed us away as has beens a long time ago.

What is stereotypical about that? It’s all factual. He’s a drug/device rep for Allergan with few connections to women’s basketball. Outside of a perceived love of statistics he doesn’t know anything about women’s basketball. Which is very clear in his writing, bracketology picks and ESPN segments.

Just think ESPN could do a much better job with their women’s tournament coverage. Especially with the new deal in place and the increased interest in women’s basketball the last season or two. It’s really time to take advantage and that means putting the right people in the right places to reach the most fans.

Women's basketball is extremely popular with Gen Z. They don’t want to watch some 50+ man with no connection to the sport talk about it. It’s simple.

And for the record I am a 30 something, white, moderate/conservative man. I would just like the coverage of women’s basketball to reflect the players and fans.

The pollsters and Creme have both been fooled by the Dr. Jeckyll/Mrs. Vol unpredictability of Tenn LV's that they are going to be uncertain of us until we become a certainty

NET ORDER

5- Utah
9- Notre Dame
12- LSU
14- Baylor
18- Virginia Tech
30- North Carolina

57 Tennessee

WHAT?!?

Like I said in another thread, TN is getting killed in the NET due to offensive and defensive efficiency. We need to handily beat the average and bad teams and hang tight (even in losses) with good teams. Right now, computers view TN as a team that is 50/50 to lose every game they play. NET is the most important factor (says the committee) in the selection of non-automatic teams to the tournament. Our net will go up even if we lose to SC (twice) and LSU as long as it's not blowouts.

I don't expect to see much movement in the Net over the next three games @Ole Miss (Net 55), @Georgia (Net 93), and Missouri (Net 73). All three games will do little to move us forward if we win and won't drop us much if we lose. After those games, we move into the number changers - 6 of our last 7 games will all be Quad 1 games. This team will control its destiny down the stretch. Win three of those Q1 games and we're safely in.

I do like that we get AM twice this year. Really good for tournament to beat a team that beat u.

You're statements are sexist and ageist. So we should only have college age females covering WCBB?

I repeat. We ALL have to stop doing this. Be better.

No we should have people who reflect and understand the sport. Heck I’d love to see someone like Muffet McGraw’s take even. At least she has a genuine connection and platform for the sport.

For what is worth, getting worked up over 1/23/24 bracketology is pretty equivalent to stressing today over how to dress for the weather on March 10th.

There are too many unknowns to even begin. If Tennessee runs the rest of the SEC and wins the conference tourney, they would be a fairly high seed (2 or 3) in the tournament. If they loose their remaining games, they would be out.

More immediately, they need to win at least 4 of 5 of their upcoming SEC conference (and it is not an easy road). I think that would get them off the bubble for now.

Im hoping LSU wins. I don't like LSU, but I also don't want to see SC go undefeated in the SEC either. Let's be honest, out of all the teams LSU has the best chance of beating them this year at the PMAC. Say what you want. That's just how I feel lol

Pretty sure there’s a few blue hairs out there! 🤣
My parents made the trip for Vandy and We Back Pat. They are in their eighties…

Judging from the TV fan shots, a good chunk of the in person fan base does seems to be senior citizens and very antsy grandchildren who keep asking if we can go to McDs now.
