For those that say the conference tourney results doesn't matter - when Tennessee wins it, you all will be the one complaining loudly if Bama or Florida is still a one seed and Tennessee isn't.
The truth is if the semi's end up with the top 4 teams, Auburn, Tennessee, Florida and Alabama it SHOULD make a difference. That said, the committee will know sometime Saturday who is playing in the game on Sunday.
If it is Auburn verses Florida or Bama - that is your two number 1 seeds - the other two are 2 seeds. Though St Johns could be a spoiler.
If it is Tennessee and Florida or Bama - the seeding becomes more conditional on what happens on Sunday. Tennessee beat both of those teams the last time they played them - not sure how they would explain a #1 seed Florida or Bama over a #2 Tennessee if Tennessee wins that game. And why should Auburn be a higher seed than either of the three as they would have lost to each of those teams in the last game played?
Of course, the top 4 could decide - it doesn't matter - my seed is my seed, and all lose in the quarterfinals. That in my opinion - if the committee really considered results should push ALL SEC teams to 2 seeds especially if St Johns and Michigan State win their respective tourneys. I know it will not happen because folks believe AUBURN is all that - but they no longer look unbeatable.
