SECNetwork Coverage Info Please

I'll have to watch it on my phone (WatchESPN) since Verizon Fios in my area does not list any alternate SEC channel. And after wasting my morning calling them, they don't know anything about it either, even though I asked them specifically about channel 332 that someone from FL had mentioned.

I called HTC yesterday and got mine figured out. Right now, the SECN is channel 73 (standard) and 873 (HD). Tomorrow, a 74 and 874 will be there to show the overflow games. It's not listed when there's nothing showing, which seems chaotic.

the geniuses here in Springfield Illinois told me there are no alternative programming channels, the sec network web-site says that there is one......wow, the sec-network is a joke.......there at least in the past was espn game plan

Also in Chattanooga if you have ATT Uverse it will be on the SEC Network alternate channel of either 1608 or 1609.

Comcast is not showing the Tennessee game in Chattanooga

A direct quote from the Chattanooga Times showing the alternate channels from Comcast that the Tennessee game will be shown on....."Comcast Xfinity’s overflow channels for the SEC Network will be 786 and 787, with both of those in standard definition. So Tennessee’s game this week will not be in high-def for Comcast subscribers".This was in yesterdays paper....all providers will have alternate channels and they were all listed.

Watched the Utah State game on SEC Network. It sure looked like a complete HOMER network for Tennessee. All the graphics at the commercial breaks and color comments from the announcers were 100% VOL. I thought it was very cool. Probably even up with league games but looks like when SEC teams play out of conference the SEC Network will be big time Homer! Just different as most as most networks seem to be pretty even handed.

In Glendale, AZ here.
Just got SEC N, after a lot of google and despite the lack of consumer friendly gui @ Cox, AND found my alt channel.

When I first used the channel finder it didn't show anything for my zip. Entered some random metro Phoenix codes and there it was. Extra $10 a month and I'm good to go.

I'm psyched.

GBO!!! :dance2::dance2:

According to the Comcast update last night it will now be aired in HD see the link a few posts back. 1739 and 1740

Ok, I figured out a round-about way to get the Tennessee game on my hi-def TV... get ChromeCast (only a $35 HDMI attachment from either Walmart or Best Buy). Plug it in your tv, and you can broadcast anything from your phone or laptop to the tv... and I can get the Tennessee game on WatchESPN. ChromeCast comes in very clear, better than lo-def, but not quite as crisp as hi-def (but very, very close).

Btw, on the trailer on the bottom of SEC Network, it says that for Verizon Fios, the alt-SEC channel is only available in TX or FL. So if you have Verizon Fios, get it on WatchESPN on either your laptop or phone and broadcast it as hi-def onto your TV with ChromeCast.

Works great.

Yeah, I mean this works, but it's super stupid that the satellite companies have full HD coverage and the cable companies (typical) just arbitrarily decided to not provide alternate channels out of the SEC states.
