SECNetwork Coverage Info Please

It was on my DirecTV guide this a.m. Showed up as 611-1 as it was explained in this thread. Also indicated it was a HD channel. Thanks to all for their explanations and help...especially those that called DirecTV and impressed upon them the fact it would probably be in their best interest to address the issue now and not wait for game day!

I've searched the forums and don't find any mention of this. I've been on the phone with Verizon last night and this morning and they don't know what I'm talking about. Anybody know if Verizon Fios will carry the alternate SEC Channel on Saturday, and if so, what channel is it? Thanks.

SEC Network is channel 75 on FIOS where we live (Virginia). I heard it was supposed to be in HD on 575 but channel does not exist (yet). Can't find anything on an overflow channel for this week's game.

Yes they do. Google "sec network channel" you'll go to a we page that prompts you to put in your zip and cable provider. I live in Venice, FL. My channels are 75 and 575 and the alternate channels are 332/832.

Did you have to do anything to get 575? It doesn't exist for us.

I was told by Verizon on the phone that hi-def SEC (575) is only available in TX and FL currently... even though when I was sold my upgrade package I was told I would get it in hi-def.

I've called Verizon 4x this week and none of them know what I'm talking about when I ask about an alternate SEC channel.

I'm currently chatting with Verizon at the moment and specifically asked about channel 332.

So for those of you who get the alternate SEC, is that only available on Saturday?... or all week?

It's only available when a game airs. It shows up on my guide as off air currently.

Then how do you set your DVR for a station that isn't currently in the line up?

What I'm piecing together (and this may be inaccurate), but I suspect that alt-SEC is available in TX & FL on Fios as 332/832 since those markets also have SEC hi-def (575). Everyone else on Fios only gets lo-def SEC (0075) with no alternate channel... but hopefully I'm wrong and alt-SEC will magically appear at 9am PT on Saturday.

EDIT: I just checked my channel guide and I have no stations between 331-335... not even for game time on Saturday.

Not happy with Verizon at all. They were one of the last cable providers to work out a deal with SEC, and none of their reps know anything about it. Even the friggin International Space Station gets SEC network. (Seriously, google it.) Come on, Verizon, step up.

I live in Ooltewah, TN(15 miles north of Chattanooga) and I have EBPFI as my provider. I went to skip ahead and set the DVR to record the game, and it says I have the Alabama and FAU game instead of the Tennessee game. Plus I gotta work till 12 so now I'll miss the first quarter. I guess I'll go to a bar and grill to watch the game but I thought SEC Network would solve this kind of problem.

I've isolated the issue. I think it has something to with your EBPFI service, and that not being a real thing.

In chattanooga my Sec Network channel is 740 and all I have to do is channel up and i have two Alt Sec Networks channels.

just like magic huh ? Any kind of weather delays and this SECN will be in for a disaster the way they scheduled tommarows games -- SEC N is not fan friendly if you dont live in an SEC state
