Bracket matrix as of today’s updates has us as the 18th overall seed. #2 on the 5 seed line behind Villanova

Will be interested how closely they stick to the s-curve when placing the top 4 seeds since it's unavoidable that there will be more than 1 team from a conference in a region. Based on the BM, there would be 3 B1G teams in one region if they stuck to the s-curve without violating any bracketing principles. I'm assuming they'll try to split the first two seed lines from being the same conference but will allow for 3 and 4s

FSU has the most length of any team in the country. If Fulky isn’t 100% we’d have to really hope our 3s are falling.

If were not a 4 seed, I’d hope that Villanova might still be a 4 and we could face them. They allow opponents to shoot and effective FG % of 52% which is 246th in the country. I’d feel a little better about our offense against an opponent like that and hope we could play good enough defense to win.

Yeah unless the committee thinks more highly of the SEC than others do. I personally think the SEC is much better this year than they’re given credit for. I don’t think it would be crazy to have Bama a 2, Ark a 3, Vols a 4 and LSU a 5.

The UT/Bama and Bama/LSU games were 2 high quality games that had great athletes and basketball players all over the floor. The best conference Tourney games, I've seen, this year, were played by the SEC

I wouldn't be too mad at that draw. UVA sucks at scoring sometimes too so we could beat them even on a bad day. And I don't hate getting a shot at Gonzaga once again they will go down before the FF.

Not sure about just as good. But I think overall UVA is a better team than WVU. WVU is a better offensive than defensive team. They give up 51% from 2 which is 239th in the country. I’d love to play a team that lets us work in the paint

I think the most important point here is that there isn’t really an “easier” path to the 2nd weekend. We’re going to have to (for the first time all year) play 40 minutes of complete basketball in back to back games if we want to make a run.
