I’m no expert but I think we are currently a 5 or 6. Win today, cement a 5. Win the tourney, prob a 4. One good weekend can’t forgive some of the ups and downs over the past month. Also, us fans always tend to over value our teams. I still remember Cuanzo team being put into the play in game. And the Pearl team that made the SECT Championship game and got put into the 8/9.

Depends on who is in front of us...if we are assuming Tennessee is 17 and FSU 16 then I think a close loss by both could be enough to swap them.

Our fans also act like our team is the only one to have had struggles, we aren’t, all the teams around us have, that’s why they 5/6 seeds and not 1/2.

If they’re really placing teams according to the s curve, being the last 4 seed or the first 5 seed won’t matter except for the first round opponent and with a few of these bid thieves the likely 12 seed opponent is getting weaker. So it might not really make much difference at all. In a normal year they give the top 4 seed “protected” status so not to be at a home court disadvantage, but this year thats irrelevant obviously

Moved up the 13 in the NET. Have wins over 11, 14, 15, and two over 31. If we had won yesterday, I think we would be a 4 seed.

Exactly. I’d much rather be a 6 than a 5. The difference between playing a 3 and a 4 in the second round is nil this year.

Lunardi’s latest (and yes I know people hate him) has us as a 5/12 matchup against Winthrop.

D.J. Burns against the Vols?? Georgetown is a 12-seed, too. And, as a Vol fan living in Georgetown, I would love to see that matchup if it happens. I don’t think we’re winning the Natty but bragging rights over some of my co-workers might be just as sweet.

Andy Katz says we’re a 6. Not a bad first round draw. Iowa as our 2 would be fine with me, but what a BRUTAL 2nd round draw that would be. Cade Cunningham.

Katz has been high with our seed the last few weeks. I believe we have a better resume than every 5 in his bracket. Just not sure if he looks at the numbers.
