I CAN blame him. You don't choose your circumstances. Champions react differently than chumps though.

Bray can blame Dooley all he likes... but Dooley has MORE reason to blame Bray. Granted, putting games and the season in a guy's hands is a big deal. But Bray was Dooley's best option considering how bad the D was and the lack of a dominating RB. So he did. How did Bray respond?

Got wild (choked) vs UF when the game was still winnable.

Consecutive turnovers with a chance to win vs UGA.

Choked vs MSU.... and Mizzou.... and USCe.

Bama had him rattled the whole game.

Dooley was trapped. The only guy who could really save him was Bray... and he didn't.

Dooley still has to go. He has not proven he can coach on game day. He has had three years to get the D better... it has regressed instead. However Bray's inability to come through has been a huge factor this year.

Incredible amount of dumb stuff gets posted here every day but this one probably wins the award for dumbest post in a very long time. Honestly, nothing makes me wish more that CDD turns this around and stays around for a long time than this crazy hate people have towards him (for no reason other than he did not turn this around as quickly as they wished - against most reasonable odds). If you honestly don't believe players will compete for him read this and go tell Daniel Hood that he will not play hard for CDD. By the way, Bray who you specifically questioned answered you question directly in this article as well.

Bull ****. Tyler has given his all this year, in spite of not an ounce of help from the defense. I would worry about the defense giving up but would have to go back to week 1 which is the last time they showed up. Tyler will have big games in his last two maybe three games as a Vol.

I have been as harsh a critic of this teams play as anyone but this will not happen. These guys have played hard all year. Don't see them stopping now. Will Vandy beat them - very well may and they will probably make some more bone head plays but there is a big difference between not playing well and "mailing it in". Most likely scenario - more of the same Bray 400+ yards 5 TD's 1 Int Vols win or lose a close one in another "pinball" game 54-48 or some such thing.

Anyone who suggest something like this either 1. doesent understand the mentality of a competitor or 2. Is out to discredit Coach Dooley worst than has been done already either by the season we're having or by the constant attack etc....why waste time suggesting something so misdirected.... its laughable...

I really expect the Vols to play their best game of the year on Saturday...then again...I was there against Wyoming when we got beat and it was unbelieveable...I fully see the Vols winner Saturday though....

My man I couldn't agree more. I'm sure he has a friend who has a friend who's uncle's nephew talked to someone that said all the seniors are going to lay down. Am I sure it comes from an insider source. These people on this board are as dumb and naive and they come.:crazy:

Except the uniforms will be black and gold....except I think it will be because Dooley gets out coached instead of the players quitting.

I personally never questioned his effort.

I stated very truthfully that he chokes under pressure. Bray had an opportunity to win at least 4 of the six losses. He failed on every occasion by cinching up. He turned it over... threw wild passes... failed to go through his progressions and threw to well covered receivers...

We never expected the D to be stellar. They were much worse than even we expected. But Bray has STILL had chances to win games... like UGA... and choked.

How could you ask why? Any true fan would be very pissed off with that attitude! That's the kind of sentiment (yours) that is wrong with some of our players these days. I do not comprehend how a player could play for a major university like UT and not play every play like their life depended on it. For that matter, even at the middle school level players should lay it on the line each and every play!!! There!

The fact that people believe it could happen- just highlights how bad things are now. I couldnt rule it out after last years Ky game.
