Our choices at almost every level are a joke. Occasionally someone comes along who we like that is also competent. The problem is the system and the direction it takes with the current makeup. That occasional good guy/gal is eventually swept up in it and instead of doing what's right, getting reelected is their only course or they're done......

in the case of the Blue Dog Democrats…..they all left at once.
Beyond that, how many times have we seen the occasional decent human being make it to the debate stage just to get absolutely zero attention or traction. I go back and forth as to whether the mob is fickle or just plain stupid.

Trump's ego was so bruised by the first that it won't let him risk further embarrassment even though, with some discipline and some coaching, he could do a lot better in a second one, and change the momentum.

The town's infrastructure and services have been badly strained. For instance, the school district has increased funding for ELA by 10x in just four years. Trump should have been able to hammer Harris with these facts.

But because it's Trump, he has to talk about immigrants eating pets. Now the real issue gets buried and Harris escapes unscathed.

Personally in the argument between drinking the poison or not drinking the poison argument. I find those who think opining that half a cup of poison knowing it's poison to be the most delusional. One side doesn't recognise the danger and thus can be forgiven for their naivety, but the religion of the middle ground people do, and therefore their choice backing half a cup knowing the danger is the most remarkably out of touch with reality. I have never thought compromise to always be a virtue, when the stakes get high especially, just a desperate attempt to signal for virtue.

A close friend and shipmates was born and raised in Belle Glade Florida. Sugar plantations relied on illegal Jamaicans to harvest the cane in areas to swampy for machinery. He said when the came in(hundreds) crime fell, because the criminal element was scared of the machete wielding Jamaicans. When the cane was harvested they returned home, Belle Glade is nearly 100% republican.

By all means, start. I sincerely want to hear your perspective.

For me (and most folks I know), the last 4 years or so have been pretty good (financially at least). Inflation was really bad, but it's now returned to normal historic rates. Housing is an issue, but is that really Biden's fault... and if so, what would you do?

So what's your beef?
