There will probably be three waves.

1st wave around 7:00 to 8:00

2nd wave around midnight

3rd wave early morning hours on Wednesday


These supercells are beginning to build and move northeast along the front. There is a warned storm just southwest of Forrest City Ark that blew up in 5 minutes. These storms can build up in a matter of minutes and drop tornadoes. People in West TN should go ahead and prepare for dangerous weather.

That's some of the tallest storms I ever heard of.

If not a tornado, then baseball/softball size hail. That's over 10 miles into the atmosphere.

The higher the cloud tops, the more dangerous the storm. More updraft, bigger hail, bigger, longer lived tornadoes.

The one just east of Memphis is at 50,000 feet

Nobody really knows why some storms rotate and produce tornadoes, while other supercell thunderstorms don't. It makes tornadoes that much more fasinating.
