Severe Weather Thread

I live in Catoosa Co. GA. I've heard about devestating damage but have not heard about casualty trailer

Currently on The Weather Channel.

They are calling it a "Mass Casualty Trailer". Can not be good, sounds like the details are sketchy at the moment.

Glad to hear you are ok.:hi:

nevermind. working over.

did someone mention golf during the truck transformation?

Thank you. Other than some occassional gusts of wind, there's not much been happening in my neighborhood. 3 miles down the road however, supposed devestation. Just heard about the casualty trailer on the local news. I feel extremely lucky and sick to my stomach at the same time.

Yes sir!:hi:

Difficult time for many. My prayers are with those in your area, and the many other areas in the south.

We're still going to get a lot of rain but I think the storms I am most worried about are done.

If Im looking at the right cell. The one that started in Miss. that rolled thru Tuscaloosa and Bham will be in South Carolina before too long, and still holding a strong rotation. Wow! Unbelievable.

That was my best guess without pulling out the slide rule

RH=100-5(T-Td)

:thumbsup:

OK...I was just wondering because 62/82 is right at 75%, and I wasn't sure since you mentioned that if Tdew = 82, then that would be 100% humidity, and I thought you might be implying (82/82 = 100%).

So, we're on the same page. The formula above is an approximation, but it'll get us close enough. But, for those of us that think in Fahrenheit and not Celsius, it would be:

RH = 100 - 2.8(T-Td) ....

or since that would come closer to requiring a calculator ... we could probably get away with

RH = 100 - 2.5(T-Td)

for relative humidity values over 70% or so without introducing too much error....

Looks like one or two more cells for the next two hours. East Tennessee was very, very, very lucky tonight.
