yeah, Kurt thought the same thing, and the number of fans who boo him now that Miller has gotten on him and told him to cool it has went drastically down. Sure, lots of fans still dislike him and boo him, but it's not nearly the amount that it was a few years ago.

How does a sponsorship do that? Do people really get drunk, see a beer car, and cheer for it instinctively?

imagine the advertising opportunities Bud would have if they went with Kyle... brother vs brother, Bud vs Miller....
however, I dont see Mark Martin and Kyle Busch working very well together....

Mark Martin has always had very good things to say about Kyle, and vice versa. I think they'd get along pretty well as teammates.

no, i'm not saying people will start cheering for him just because he drives the Bud car. what i mean is Bud will clamp down and tell him to chill out and settle down a bit, just like they did Jr and just like Miller Beer did to Kurt Busch.

Roger Penske is the man behind getting Kurt to turn it down a notch or two, not Miller.

If you don't think Miller had something to with toning him down you're crazy. It was a lot of Roger Penske but Miller had a lot to do with that as well.

if you want to put a percentage on it, i would say it's 80% Roger and 20% Miller, at most. it wouldn't matter who the sponsor is with Roger. he has always been business first. always. that's why Miller is with Roger and not vice versa.

and what Roger says might as well be the bible.

Back to the DEI/Ginn merger, before this merger, Ginn had an engine agreement with Hendrick Motorsports. Obviously, that is no longer going to be the case as Martin now drives for DEI, which uses RCR engines. Ginn, I'm sure, was to pay Hendrick on a yearly basis for those engines. I wonder if Hendrick will forgive that debt in return from DEI the rights to the number 8 car??

Stremme to DEI? Hearing #40-David Stremme is one of the candidates for the #8 seat at DEI. In the midst of all the buzz about who will take the #8 ride at Dale Earnhardt, Inc., since the merger with Ginn Racing, David Stremme has emerged as one of the frontrunners.(7-31-2007)

It would be a big mistake to put Stremme in there. He never impressed me in the Busch Series and he's never been competitive in a cup car. Of course thats in Ganassi equipment.
