Shooting in El Paso

He blamed the internet and video games and said we need to do more about mental illness. He then took some credit for bump stock ban a year ago. Nothing about moving forward with more gun control and he actually took all blame away from guns. Also no taking of personal responsuibility for himself promoting messages of hate.
Guns are inanimate objects and can't take the blame for any of these shootings.

You liberals crack me up. Remind me of the movie "The Jerk" when Steve Martin's character is being shot at and the shooter is missing him and hitting oil cans behind him. He says something to the affect, "He hates cans! Get away from the cans!"

That is definitely not every mass shooting or even among the worst since Trump took office in 2017... What about Stephen Paddock at Mandalay Bay? What about Devin Kelley and the Sutherland Springs, Texas Church shooting? They both killed more than 25 people... about a month apart.
It was wrote in 2017 but you completely ignored the subject matter of what he's trying to say.

I think it's a kind of funny response. Plus.....and this is a big one.....it's not being led and encouraged by the candidate.
I would expect no less from you. It's only wrong when the other side does it, right?

Nope but the lack of God in control of our lives sure does. Where does violence and sin come from? Let me answer that: Satan. How does Satan take over. We allow him too by ignoring God's word. Why are so many people OK with Abortion?

Probably right but we as Christians need to preach the Word until we are dead.

Since the 90s crime in the US has been on the decline. So has religion. I am not sure how you get to your conclusion.

There is not one reason that this keeps happening and it goes back well before Columbine. It's not just because kids are being over-prescribed medication. Sometimes they are just plain crazy. What I still consider to be the most bizarre school shooting ever was actually a girl... Google "Brenda Ann Spencer" or her quote "I don't like Mondays. This livens up the day." She had just shot 10 people at her school.

No buddy, it's you, volfanjustin, and Trump who have otherized a wide variety of brown people and attributed a lot of ugly things to them.

Don't want to be accurately accused of being racist? Distance yourself from volfanjustin and the alt-right.

The only thing slice has done is to refuse to acknowledge/deny the existence and spread of racism and racists.*

That doesn’t make him a racist, it’s not bad faith, he’s just got a myopic and wrong view of things.

Leaping to the conclusion that, just because he’s wrong, he’s a bad person/racist/arguing in bad faith contributes just as much to our problems, IMO, as racism. As a culture, we have got to stop vilifying everybody who disagree with us.

Signed,
A guy who probably vilified people last week.

* - Except Ilhan Omar. I believe he acknowledged Ilhan Omar is a racist, so he does believe it exists.

There are exceptions to every rule, just like not all people who can't manage their money is a danger with a gun.

It's simple. Does violence exist? Yes it does. If people follow God's Word, would they perform these horrendous acts. No they would not. It's really that simple. Satan is where the evil and darkness comes from.

I think we should restrict the right to own a gun from anyone struggling or defaulted to pay student loans
They should also be denied access to auto and home loans so they can’t default on those and ruin the economy.

If a person has been deemed mentally unable to maintain their own money? There is a serious problem. That is not an arbitrary step taken by healthcare officials.

I didn't leap to any conclusions. He leaped to defend someone without reading the full contents of their post.

Coinciding with a rise in secularism is a decrease in crime, but you attribute the shootings to secularism. I don't think you can get there from here.

Most people can’t manage their own money.

If faced with an unexpected $400 expense, 4 in 10 adults said they would not have the money to cover it, according to a report last year from the Federal Reserve. To get the funds, they would have to sell something or borrow.

There are millions upon millions who could be deemed unable to manage their money.
Not so... just 75,000 (approximately) have been. Again, we are talking about people receiving benefits from the Social Security Administration over their mental illness. This is not as damn broad as you are trying to make it.... Jeez.

Nope, I correlate the shootings with people not following the Bible and not applying it to their lives. Just like when Cane murdered his brother Abel. Cane failed to obey God. It really is that simple. If everyone followed the 10 Commandments then murder would not exist.
