Shooting in El Paso

It's a bit of a tangent but I'd seen the English crime numbers mentioned and they looked terribly low. What I'm seeing for the 12 months leading up to March this year (England/Wales) there were over 43k knife related offenses. The last homicide figures I saw were we're for 17/18 of which there were 285. That's the most since they started keeping those stats in 1946.

I just throw this out there for information only. I'm not sure how much can be comparitively drawn from a country where just our urban population is over 4x their total population. (among other factors)

Fox News' Laura Ingraham took on Democrats Tuesday night for what she said is an attempt to capitalize politically on the shooting massacres in El Paso, Texas and Dayton, Ohio last weekend, and said she would not allow "the left" to divide Americans and distract from real solutions to real problems.
"We should not, and we will not, allow the political hucksters of the left to separate us or distract us from addressing these real problems that need practical, workable solutions," Ingraham said on "The Ingraham Angle."

#metoo. The picture shows the "mass shooting" definition and not just the terrorist mass shootings we are really talking about. I cannot recall more than a handful of female perpetrators of these crimes. Even the muslim terrorists usually seem to be men. Can't be a coincidence.

I don't know where she got the exterminate bs, but to say that he says to "condemn racism and white supremacy" is pretty misleading too. Trump has trafficked in and profited from racism and divisiveness and he now makes a positive statement and all his supporters feel like everyone should forget everything else he's said. It doesn't work that way, though I would like to hope he is turning over a new leaf.

Not one politician from either or any side is responsible one tiddly wink for what these 2 individuals did.

No one made these people (loser, political hack, weak minded, emotionally fragile, wussie morons whose lives were so pathetic and sad that they had to write and talk about their little political beliefs and grievances and the mean bad world and mean bad politicians who were ruining their laughable existence ) do what they did but them. Period.

Well with the muslims, the women have no rights. Why allow them to reach a higher level of spirituality by fulfilling the duties of killing infidels? They cant show their face, what makes you think they are allowed to have a fast pass to "heaven"?

But, it can make for a galvanizing thought that 95% of the population is in line with. If you hate Trump continue to hate him, but, when he says something that is right on just agree.

I don't know or care about if Trump supporters are, or are not, trying to make or try to get people to forget any or everything he has said.

This is the issue for me, this non stop political theater of 2 pussy street gangs bickering and slapping at each other like fat entitled privileged little girls.

Ok, this is where you lose me. We can go back and forth with examples. My problem with this is that more colorful language is said about trump every single day. A portion of those "divisive rhetorics" are purposely taken out of context and shoved down everyones throats. The best decision I have made, polictially, is to listen to the entire speech on my own. Often i notice thinking "but that's not what he said" when listening to the media or other politicians.

Trump supporters have been CONSTANTLY attacked, called racists, called deplorables, been doxxed and harassed. Not by individuals but by media, politicians, celebrities, etc. I believe the number is 63 million for the individuals that voted for Trump. The last three years have been incredibly divisive. But it's not Trump who is doing the dividing on the largest of scales.

When he says something stupid, I'll criticize it. Hes not my guy. I will never own a maga hat. He will never have a sign in my yard. But more often, it's the media, celebrities and other politicians doing the dividing.

The number of muslim scholars on this board continues to amaze. In christianity, one could argue that woman's place is behind her husband, standing silent and subservient.

My theory on why women don't commit these atrocities has more to do with some difference between the sexes. It is likely the same reason that there are far more male serial killers. We may want to really study the brain chemistry differences between the sexes to find a root cause.

I dont disagree that there are differences. Perhaps less women would volunteer for that than men. I can certainly agree with that. However, let's not act like they would be granted the "honor".

With that said, not all muslims think this way, obviously. I'm only referring to the extremists in terror groups.

But by and large his statements have not been taken out of context. He said them and then his supporters tried to alter the context and say that is not what he meant. This board is replete with examples of Trump making a clear statement and his supporters saying it was being interpreted incorrectly because he meant this or he isn't articulate. OR You cannot take what he says literally. He has been the most divisive politician of my lifetime.
