This lock down crap has effected all markets.
Two years ago you could walk into any AD and try on pretty much any Rolex and buy the one you wanted. Then we went into lock down mode so people started buying stuff they normally wouldn’t and fixing up their homes. This led to a shortage on Rolex to the point where a Datejust is 6 months and everything else is like a 1 to 2 year wait. Just stupid.
Now it’s tricking down to Omega and Breitling and even Oris.
When the luxury watch market has supply chain issues you know the whole thing is upside down at this point.
Oh come on now hog you know you're running a close second.. Merry Christmas
Yeah seriously!
I love how he just glosses over his camper, how his wife is shopping for a beach house, his high end yuppie Rain Garden and the tennis courts in his backyard everyone can clearly see.
But I mention a Rolex and suddenly he is shocked.
He lives like a mile from me.
He’s doing well. Don’t let him fool you.

It’s a badminton court, a cement pond and I live on the poor side of that mile.
Well I am probably moving. My dad is starting to require some TLC and my parents refuse to move so it looks like I am selling my home and going to be staying with them for a while to make sure they are ok and he doesn’t burn the place down. I am honestly there more than my own house anymore as I am an only child and resetting a router has become a daily life crisis. My wife is ok with it (kinda her idea) and my kids already have a room there due to sleepovers so I think it will be ok.
I want some land anyways so this will give me time to find some acreage and build my forever home.
My neighbor was telling me that they are expecting sheets of OSB to be $100 in the next few months. It was in the $50 range this past year during the peak of the lumber shortage.More 5-7% product price increases for early 2022. Unreal. Probably makes about 15%+ in last year for some product lines. Basically 3-4 increases and I cannot even keep up any more as they now seem to come quarterly.
