The ACLU, as you know, has filed tens of thousands of suits in attempts to bar anything hinting at Christianity in the public square but has also sued for the rights of moslems for prayer time in workplaces and schools and the serving of hallal foods in schools etc.

If you value the 1st amendment (and other amendments as well), you had better stick up for them yourself instead of expecting someone else to do that.

The congressman in question has threatened to get a resolution passed in congress condeming the company in question if they don't publicly appologize and renew their sponsorship.

of course that is going to happen now but it certainly could happen if and when the dhimirats regain control of the house and senate.

Nothing specifically in this thread made me say that, but I think threads like these that complain about some kind of facet of Islam wouldn't be so abundant if the OPs understood the basics of Islam. Again, my original statement is more of a generality pertaining to this site. At the VERY LEAST, people should know that the terrorists who kill in the name of Allah are no different than the Crusaders that killed in the name of God. With any religion, a person could say they're a Musilm, Christian, Jew, Pastafarian, etc., but that doesn't necessarily mean they are TRUE followers.

I have lived in a Muslim country (Morocco) and have experienced the call to prayer at sunlight. I am a Christian and I can attest that it really was one of the more awe inspiring moments in my life the first time it happened. I lived within an ear shot and it was pretty. Try again.

Best friend dated a girl from one of those countries mentioned earlier.

Had to meet her without her father knowing.

She was afraid he would throw her out of the family.

There was an honor killing that happened in the state we lived in and about two weeks later she decided to break up with my friend.

Never spoke to him again and moved back to the country mentioned above in an arranged marriage.


But hey ... sounds open minded to me.

All muslims, the only protected religion under the hate crimes bill, receive special protection.

The wording of the bill is vague enough that physical violence may not have to occur to be prosecuted under the hate crime stipulation.

For instance using the f word to describe a homosexual could be contrued as a hate crime.

Likewise then to say something like; 'Jesus is King' would be very offensive to a muslim since they believe He was only a prophet and muhammed is a greater prophet.

In practical application in Deerborn, Mich recently some Christians were arrested for passing out religius tracts two blocks away from the Arab festival because the muslims considered that to be offensive to them.

Let me ask you this, why wasn't the Christian/Newsom case prosecuted as a hate crime.

What if a group of whites had done half as much to a black couple? You know we would never hear the end of it and building would still be burning.

Evidently not since we have boots on the ground in Iraq and Afghanistan, both of which have sharia law written into their constitutions which are very unfavorable to any but muslims and to muslims that may want to leave the religion of islam.

For instance the UN aid worker in Afghanistan that converted to Christianity and received the death penalty.

The Afghans, under international pressure and because he happened to work for the Un and could get the world to hear his case, recanted the death penalty but the man had to leave the country.

In another case moslems were offended that one of our soldiers had Bibles printed in Pashto and Urdu and so our own army burned them.

Those of you who try to suppress criticism of islam do a great disservice to those muslims who would like to westernize or even leave islam, particularly the children, especially the female children of muslim families living in the west.
