Shouldn't be surprised to be 6-3

We didn't get robbed last year. We played like crap at the wrong times, puckered up in big games, reverted to poor coaching methods, and blew it.

I know you are anti-Martin right now, and I agree with some of your points. But MTSU in over us was a joke. Maybe we shouldn't have been in and had bad losses to UGA and Bama. But what a joke some of the selections have become. I said the same when Buzz's only good team missed out, too.

I thought 7-1 at this point. So no...I don't agree. 7-1 wasnt unrealistic either.

That's not the same number. I think it should be 7-2. We should have beaten Xavier the first time. I didn't expect to lose to UTEP but expected 2-1 at the B4A.

You and everyone else on the planet knows we should have been in last year. We were the only team the big 3 bracketologists got wrong, because a team 6 places below us and with no top 100 wins got picked ahead of us (when we had 4/5 top 100 wins, depending on which system you believe.

But, of course, you forget that little fact because it doesn't support your narrative.

Anyway, it of course shouldn't come down to that this year, and if it does you'll be vindicated. But most rational people (read: non haters of CCM) disagree with you.

So you think the committee should have just looked over the 2 losses to a sub 150 rpi Georgia?

No one should be surprised that we are 6-3 right now. We started off the season with a good Xavier team on the road. We shouldn't have played that game as our first game. Not surprising we lost.

You can forget that the second loss was to UTEP. We weren't going to win the B4A tourney not with Iowa and Kansas in the field. The goal was a 2-1 record which was achieved.

The Wichita St loss...did anyone really expect us to go on the road and beat an undefeated Top 10 team that was in the Final Four last year?

So we are 6-3 and the next four games are must wins at home. Lose any and we will be on the bubble once again.

Hello coach Cuonzo! Welcome to the forum!!! Hows it goin? Thanks for posting. Shouldn't you be at practice though?

I think I predicted 10-3 OOC (iirc), that's still very possible. We lost 2 games we were picked to lose, and 1 we shouldn't have, but we also won one we were picked to lose (iirc)...so at this point we are right on with Vegas.

There's no excuse for the UTEP loss....was not happy about that. At least we got a rematch with Xavier and killed them. With the talent we have....we shouldn't be 6-3. We should be 8-1. Maybe even 9-0. But wichita state's a good team...I think people need to calm down about that loss. Made the final 4 last year and we barely beat them at home last year. However, there's no excuse for losing to UTEP. That's an awful team that we didn't show up against.

While I agree about UTEP, the 8-1 is a bit misleading. If we beat UTEP we wouldn't have played xavier we would've played Iowa, so to say then we should've definitely won that one is necessarily accurate IMO.

I'm going to laugh my arse off in March when the Vols are an 8 seed and the crow is served around here.

Ok and who do you see us beating to get that #8 seed?...Kentucky?....Mizzou?...Florida?...Texas A&M?...Thats 8 potential losses right there and not to mention some improved SEC teams on the schedule...Just in case you don't keep up with current events, We have a coaching staff that shouldn't even be coaching high school ball

Slim chance. Very, very slim.

We won't see too many teams with a player like Warren. I don't think we will have that many games were we shoot that bad also. We still cut it down to 5 after one of the worst halves of ball I have seen. Its a marathon not a sprint.

I think NC State will raise their RPI in the ACC. They have some talent. They just hadn't played a great schedule yet.
