Shouldn't be surprised to be 6-3

I agree with the OP. I was not surprised we were 6-3 (at the time). We have a rather ordinary coach. He has never consistently won. Why would I be surprised we haven't beaten a good team in the non conf when we have only done so once and that was at home?

Spot on OP.

I am becoming annoyed with posters that criticize others when they try and be positive or even realistic with our programs. The "typical UT fan" part did not set well with me because I consider myself a "typical UT Fan. I love my team and University. I support all athletic programs regardless of wins and loses. I do not make a point to publicly bash our players or coaches, and I would rather lose every game as a VOL than win every game as any other fan.

There is more to being a Tennessee Vol than winning and losing.

LOOK AT HOW WE GOT THE NAME.

I have no beef with you personally 87. I see you as family also (as long as your a Vol). I also want a great team just like you, but the complaining is not going to change anything. If it makes you feel better then that's under your control, but a minority of this fan base give the majority a bad rap from being so negative towards our teams.
**steps off soap box**

I am becoming annoyed with posters who criticize other posters for expecting more out of this athletic department instead of being happy to choke down whatever swill they put before us.

The football team has been a travesty and, it's quite obvious to almost everyone that Martin is running this basketball into the ground after one of the most successful runs in the history of the program.
