The wave is without a doubt one of the most annoying fads of all time. . . right up there with the "woo" in Rocky Top.

The only time a crowd should "whoo" is in response to the Greatest Living American, The Nature Boy Ric Flair.

So,you're saying that the game we beat the Gators(NC Season) in (since we were both at the game),you didn't stand. If you didn't stand during the wave, you must have been in one out of 100 plus thousand not standing. You expect me to buy that?
I was standing for most of the game. I never stand specifically for the wave. In fact, I make it a point not to stand. It's my form of protest.

I don't really care if they do the wave or not. I'm usually too stressed out about the game to pay it much attention.

With Scott Hall at the other post spot.

I think we may have recruited Razor, but lost out when he commited early to Jack Daniels State.

When pro wrestlers tell a guy he drinks too much, I think that's a pretty fair indication he may have a problem.

Maybe we should switch from Rocky Top to HHH's entrance music!

Isn't it normal policy for the topic at hand to derail temporarily, then re-enter later? :dunno:

Why are TCU and Utah that high?
The Mountain West is a pretty durn good conference as far as non-BCS ones go. IMO they are about on the same level as the Big East. TCU is returning a solid cast from last year's 11-1 team, which had wins over Oklahoma and Iowa State. Utah probably gets the most talent of any school in the Big East, and the most talent of any non-BCS school. In spite of all this, I think BYU is the team to watch in the Mountain West in '06. BYU has a lot of talent coming back this year after finishing 2nd in the MWC, not to mention BYU's teams are always the most mature. Many of the players are mormon and thusly older than any other school in D-IA. I think the median age for BYU players is like 22? They have guys as old as 24 and 25, I think. Very matured teams at BYU.

I've hated the "Wave" since its inception. It intimidates nobody and distracts from the game at hand.
Agreed. The wave blows
