I gotta call BS. I'm one of the bigger "koolaiders" here and was also one of the last to jump on the fire Fulmer and Dools train. Now if we're talking assistants or coord's I might be towards the front of the line.

Not necessarily, if you were walking and got put in a wheelchair, I don't believe the rehab makes you crawl first. Just a slower more deliberate walk.

A little early to be drinking at 10:30 in the morning. UT is a pretty young team with both lines being replaced. Maybe that's why all the experts and the fans think 6-6 is probably the #..... :blink:

You really think we are happy with a loss? No. We don't project winning any games our roster is not inclined to win. Were we happy losing to Florida, Georgia, Missouri, or Bammer last year? How bout Oregon?

NO!

But the regular fan did not see this as a disappointment after we beat South Carolina, or seeing massive improvements on the coaching spectrum.

We didn't think we were going to win those games, and occasionally upsets happen. So yes, we are not going to project ourselves to beat any of those teams this season. However, if we do win those games, watch out for a party!

you are right it shouldn't be expected to have a losing record every year at UT, but this is the norm. bad choices from hamilton and hart have destroyed the football team and a lot of questions still surround jones coaching ability. it is real hard for me to get excited anymore till i see what they have on the field. utah st should answer some questions. as for being UT we are not once what we were. hell coaches turned us down or didn't even want to look at us when we were looking. that should tell you how far we have fallen. would be nice to put all this past in the books and win a few games this year.

Gentlemen. We are Tennessee and our mutual opponent is thine enemy. We all want a great season and we might have one, but some are setting realistic expectations and tis not fair to deem them as nay-sayers.

Luck will have nothing to do with 6 wins. I'm tired of the lucky talk,seeing how if we don't win six then that means we win 2 conference games again. Not with all the "talent " that will supposedly come around by mid season.not being lucky enough Lucky to win 6 means we beat Kentucky and Vandy and that's it.Seriously.

6 wins actually means we beat the 3 OOC teams we'll be favored to beat, Vandy and Kentucky, and 1 other SEC team we're not supposed to.

I think everyone here can agree that we all want Tennessee to contend for an SEC title, but to expect so much in so little time is unrealistic. I'm not saying losing is acceptable, it's just unreasonable to think we are experienced enough to beat the top teams in the SEC currently. I will say that playing in the East is a blessing because it would be a much tougher test to get back to prominence in the West

Sigh. There is one in every crowd. Step two to follow, he will backtrack once he figures out he doesn't even know what he doesn't know, at which point he will try and make a joke about his retort which was just WRONG in every way. It is a habit which he can't shake, clearly he doesn't mind the constant egg on face.
