Since 1980 these guys have never been wrong

he had to actually become POTUS for you to make that judgement. Romney hasn't been president either

Knew it before hand. He did a horrible job with the rangers.

His dad was also a weak president and put through nafta.

I don't believe that. Opponents were screaming bloody murder about his extremely modest cuts. I don't think a plan filled with aggressive cuts is going anywhere.

Ryan could get a plan passed in the House, just for political show. He would know it would never get to a vote in the Senate but it would make the right wing loons happy.

The New Hampshire speech is nothing we haven't heard from any other Republican. Just a bunch of "Boo Obama. Yay America!" with not a whole lot substance. Listing Obama's faults and wrongs and just saying you'll do the opposite sounds nice on the surface, but some substance with those comments would go a lot further.

A lot of right wing loons would be freaking out if Ryan went after Medicare, so I'm not so sure about that. Ryan did the politically expedient thing. It just isn't useful in any way.

Senate cant even pasd a budget due to left wing loons so any passed bill is for show at this point...well unless is ****s over america and inflates the debt. Then the left is more than happy to pass it.

I agree Neo.

I am not impressed by either side.
Both sides are playing political game.

Congress did not hit that 10% approval rating for no reason. The sad thing for American is the majority of the same group will be re-elected.

The problem is the government has gotten too powerful and in too many lifes so because of this the President has to appeal to too many people, along withe senators and reps.

There are 50 states, all with different symbiotic relationships, with different economic drivers, and somehow due to the electoral college the president has too make sure that he agrees with the views of boston, columbus, cleveland, tampa, and oh yeah pull some famr towns in the middle of nowhere.

The only way you are going to be able to do that is with promises and promises cost too much.

The cycle has become vicious. We either race of the fiscla cliff and make sure everyone eats or we accept that some will starve and we begin cutting away the debt.

The reality is it cant be both.

Yea man, you don't know me. If I'm so far right, then why have I been rooting for Romney to win since 2010. I'm not even registered as a R and I've never given to the R party. I have donated to Romney every time they call or write.

I like Romney for two reasons. A) I would honored to work for him and I think his private record is top notch. B) I trust his money management skills (aka my tax $$s) vs Obamas.

Oh and Romneys UE rate when he left office in MA was 4.7%.

Oh and I grew up in DC during the 80s and 90s so I have first hand knowledge of what a democratic controlled government acts like

Wow. Really? You are crazier than I had previously given you credit for.

Btw..you really ought to watch the video Gramps posted:

Vigorously supporting a flip-flopper since 2010 shouldn't be a surprise after this comment a couple weeks ago:

I didn't think he was qualified for the job but after the acceptance speech I thought he was going to "pick us up by our bootstraps". By thanksgiving I realized that wasn't the case

I mean you were against him before you were for him, before you were against him. You and Romney are made for each other.

Btw...there is a reason why Romney's campaign has steered clear of his record as Governor. I could write an essay on that, but I'll only retort the specific comment of unemployment you mentioned. It turns out that the unemployment rate in Massachusetts under Romney dropped less than the national average during that same time.

http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/statements/2012/jun/11/mitt-romney/mitt-romney-says-massachusetts-unemployment-hit-47/

Both Massachusetts and the U.S. saw unemployment rates drop during Romney’s governorship. Unemployment declined during that period because the economy was recovering from a recession.

If you take the numbers from January 2003 to January 2007 -- Romney’s first and last months in office -- you find a drop of 1.2 percentage points nationally (from 5.8 percent to 4.6 percent) and 1.0 points in Massachusetts (from 5.6 percent to 4.6 percent). That's not much of a difference.

There is also other literature out there which cites the main reason for the unemployment rate dropping while under Romney (still below the national average) was due in large part to people, especially among young people, dropping out of the workforce (aka moving to another state).

But keep telling yourself he is baby Jesus.

The fact is that 4.7% UE is a rate that 90% of the states would kill for now. The state is very tech heavy so I'm sure some young people left for Silcon Valley.

I did not think Obama was qualified but after his Chicago speech where he mentioned cutting deficits, and picking this country up by its boot straps, I thought for a moment he could possibly get it done. The situation at the time was pretty bleak

Nice post, I'm sure it took you 30 mins to compose, I'm so glad you are concerned with me and everyone I know voting for Romney. For youR efforts, I just donated another $250 to Romney. Sorry it's business

Everything is relative man.

No problem there. I actually don't mind that. Just be honest (like you just were) instead of trying to defend Romney as wonderful candidate.

Romney should give me a $5 kickback for getting you to donate more money to him. :)

Wow. I have discovered a policy stance that Gov Romney has been consistent on.

He appears to have a record for consistently being in favor of minimum wage.
