Uhh, your observation skills are a bit off, OB. Looks like DAL296. Nice going in and out of Haneda rather than Narita; now I see why SCV gets to stay in Tokyo. I always preferred Haneda to Narita because it was more convenient - kinda yucky scenery on approach over Tokyo Bay unless you're fond of oil storage tanks, though.

I was scheduled to fly into Narita maybe even on the day it opened, and I did some fast talking to make a switch from Northwest through Chicago or Dulles to China Airlines through LAX to Haneda - airports are bad enough when things are normal. Turns out there was a riot (a real one) at Narita, and they stormed and burned the tower and shut Narita down. My boss sent a telex (if you are old enough to remember those) and said "Good call on the flight change." Hotels across the world always seemed to be impressed if they had telexes waiting for you when you got there - although they were generally never good news for you.

Only if the computer and First Officer do the flying. I will say you were able to read the stuff in the picture better than I did. Couldn't make out the N43E170 - most of the green stuff was easier. You can tell SCV was focused on the food - apparently you know what his priority was.
