Yeah, history also glosses over the fact that 20% of the Northern Army in the Revolution was black, at Saratoga, Oriskany, Montreal, and the rest of campaigns in the region.
I suppose it's not convenient to show that blacks were something other than slaves until the Civil War era.
So what's next? The native Americans didn't get screwed because they never were here?

lighten up, Francis. The Tea Party isn't wanting to take blacks out of the history books. Jeez, did you bother to read the article linked to in the OP?
What the TP is wanting (the approximately 2 dozen anyway) is to hold the Founding Fathers up as perfect men in an imperfect world. It's a bad idea, but don't fall into the same trap lawgator always falls into by thinking that the TP is nothing but a bunch of white racists.
It would be refreshing if our history books would actually approach the subject of slavery, the civil war and the politics involved for what it was but I understand it is very difficult and time consuming to teach. Those who so strongly lobbied for the abolition of slavery often and had varrying reasons, most were not very inclined to champion the plight of the African American.
If you'd simply gone with what the history books tell you about the civil war and slavery you'd think Lincoln and politicians from the north cared about the rights of the common slave, this is a very simplistic view and far removed from the truth.
In the very first it says, "incidents of slavery and genocide". It says nothing of removing it all together. As said earlier I think it's to cover for the founding fathers reps! Very misleading title to the story.

What's the motive behind covering the reps of the founding fathers? No one is perfect. If this is the motive, what's the point?
Seems to be a very small case of "Holocaust denial-ism."
Few people in the west know about Islam and slavery. Most would be surprised that Islam authorizes the taking of slaves as spoils of war. From the days that Muhammad drew his sword to rob and conquer non-Moslims to this very day, Moslims have been taking non-Moslims, and even other black Moslims, as slaves.
Moslims were enslaving black Africans long before any slave ships sailed for the New World. Moslims were taking and making slaves all over the lands they had conquered. Later, when slave ships were loaded with black slaves, often, a Moslim slave broker had the human cargo all ready to go. American slavers rarely had to go into inland to capture slaves, they were already waiting there, courtesy of some Moslim ruler, and/or slave broker! In many cases, if the black slaves were not sent to the New World, they were sent to the Mideast to be enslaved by Arabs, or kept by other black Moslims as slaves.
-----------------------------
Just a short while ago, a group of Negro pastors in the US, formed a group to combat Islamic slavery amongst the blacks, both Moslim and non-Moslim in Africa. The information on this can be found in the August 1997 issue of Charisma magazine, and in the 11-17-97 issue of Christianity. The group is called "Harambee" and is affiliated with the Loveland Church in Los Angeles, CA.
Islam, when compared to Christianity is a step backwards; a step into "justification" of the enslavement of others.

It's sad to know that the only thing black and white kids know that we wear slaves.... They do not know about the mighty African city of Timbuktu or that fighting slaves fought for egypt, the carthagenians and the conquering African nation of Nubia!! No... We were just ol foot shuffling slaves that worked hard fo' ol massa fo' nothing.
Shove it tea party because in a couple of years you will be gone like a fart in the wind
