Slice, Nash and Yankeevol talk Yankees baseball and others talk about how bad the Braves suck

Let’s take a moment to appreciate The Ted and what it meant for the future of ballparks.

The Ted was how to do everything wrong with a sports stadium....

No control over parking
Marta too far away
Rough part of town
Outdated
Not near customers
No control over development around stadium

Huh?

Camden Yards ushered in the new era of traditional ballparks.
Camden Yards didn’t have a brew pub until 2012. The Ted opened with one in 1997. It had a view of the field. The Ted had a one-seat wide section in the upper deck for which seats were $1.00. It was the crown jewel of MLB when it opened and prompted renovations to many other parks. It also set the bar for new construction.

The two are not comparable. Camden is so much better.

Camden opened well before Turner field and was the inspiration for the new wave of ballparks.
