I can't believe after Butch Jones that these Grey jerseys were not burned in hell. I freaking HATE them. Give me the black jerseys on Halloween and Orange and White every other week. Who's with me?

You don't have to honor Condredge if you do not want to. Both you and I do not have a say so in the matter.

If the Administration decided that this is how they would honor the man, and Condredge was humbled by it, why should you have a vote as to what they wear? They are doing what they think is best. This is not about you and what you think. This is about one of the greatest VFL's. So go ahead and post another reason why. VFL's don't care. If this is the way and CH is accepting, then this is how it will be done.

What is remarkable (and ridiculous) about this thread is how many people are annoyed, upset, butthurt, or whatever that there are different opinions being expressed on a forum designed for .... expressing and exchanging our opinions.

Those of us who don't like some of the alternate uniforms are not:

1. Saying in any way, shape, or form that we don't love the idea of honoring an all-time great VFL like Conredge Holloway.

2. Believing that we have any say whatsoever in decisions made about uniform choices.

We express different opinions daily about myriad things related to the UT sports programs, from game strategy to scheduling to recruiting, but we're not permitted to express an opinion on uniforms in a thread about the subject? Why even make the damn thing open to replies?

I'm with you about any version of orange and white any week, but not about the black unis.

Totally agree on the greys, and possibly that's one reason I particularly don't like them - they will forever be linked with the Jones era, which would be best forgotten.

Don’t understand the negative comments regarding these uniforms. I think they’re awesome. Anything that brings back memories of the Artful Dodger is fine by me. He was quarterback when I was at UT, so there’s that. Plus, I’ve always loved the Smokey Grays, particularly the helmets with the Smokies on them. GO BIG ORANGE!
