So, 8-wins could be in danger...

We will play better next week. Today was just a bad day at the office. Dobbs needs more time to heal. We will be good. Go Vols!!

Vandy and Missouri has great defense. For the past 2 games our offense has sucked. We are in for a battle to get to 8 wins.

Dobbs is always up and down but he looks rattled. I think the foot or toe injury is really affecting him. The offensive line we started today is an embarrassment. Absolutely no pride whatsoever.

Disagree. I'd say our odds of winning out are no better than 50/50. Missouri and Vanderbilt will play their ass off against us. Both games will be decided by less than a touchdown.

Agree. Vandy d is tough!

Mizzou could be really inspired with what's gone on there and there coach retiring or distracted, interested to see how they do against byu.

And UT evidently can't focuse and play 4 good Quarters unless they play UK!

This game could teach us nothing but one thing - is the team focused and professional. The answer is no - in a year where fourth quarter leads have evaporated faster than Alvin Kamara sprints to the end zone.

Credit to North Texas - they had a game plan. But it shouldn't have mattered. Depth, in this game, is not an excuse. We lacked focus. It's to be expected with a noon kickoff against a cupcake. I think Butch needed to send a message to the fans that the team IS focused and he failed.

The next two teams have defences and the potential to capitalize on mistakes. I think this staff already has a lot to analyze in the off-season - a lot of time to be looking in that mirror.

If we lose either of the next two games (if we lose both, it's a no brainer) then Butch and the BSiA have to do extraordinary things in 2016 to continue receiving paychecks from the UTAD. There is simply not one excuse left for less than 8-wins. Team 120 will be play-off level special if they have the coaching.

You do one of these every week. Sorry it wasn't to your liking but they just looked liked a team that was in a "working bye week mode" to me. To think this has any impact on the next two weeks is silly but I understand that's what you do.

Cut him some slack, he's still pissed about David Lee.

It was a noon game against a team that was 1-8. It wasn't hard for the team to overlook and sleepwalk through this game. Even most of our fanbase was. Should the coaches have had them better focused? Absolutely. Does this game mean we lose out? No way.

Didn't after Kentucky.

I said in the off-season this team should win 10-games. We all know now we should have.

We were one play away from allowing yet another team to storm back from 17 points down last week. How can anyone NOT be skittish this year?

Yes, I would have liked to have seen us be sharp and crisp for 20-minutes and put four scores on the board and then rev down.

This team and coaching staff still has a lot to prove. I've been watching college football for a long time and I know coming out flat and playing to competition is standard.

But that's just it. This team still has much to prove right now. And Butch and the BSiA didn't have them focused to do it.

While I thought the game day thread had a lock for Stupid Thread of the Day it looks like we have a dark horse pull ahead winner!!

Not really all of a dark horse too frankly

You must have missed the genius of the "I told you so" thread.

This wouldn't be a big deal if the team didn't do it last week also. Sleep walking through 2 straight games isn't good. We are lucky uscjr fumbled on the last drive.
