So, 8-wins could be in danger...

Disagree. I'd say our odds of winning out are no better than 50/50. Missouri and Vanderbilt will play their ass off against us. Both games will be decided by less than a touchdown.

I said the same today. I'd say 50/50 toss-up. I'll take the W all day, but anyone can see, at this point in the season, that our offense is struggling mightily given the number of playmakers at our disposal.

8 wins is in huge jeopardy. Vandy gutted out a win tonight. Missouri beat BYU in emotional fashion. Missouri is fired up and dead set on sending their coach out a winner. They found a way to win tonight.

The Vols best be focused. Next week will be their coach's last home game. Mizzou will die on the field before they lose. Team 119 needs to go to war to win this one.

We need the Tennessee team that took the field against Bama and Uk, not the team we saw the last two weeks. I think Bunch can make that happen. But a loss will be hard to swallow.

This game could teach us nothing but one thing - is the team focused and professional. The answer is no - in a year where fourth quarter leads have evaporated faster than Alvin Kamara sprints to the end zone.

Credit to North Texas - they had a game plan. But it shouldn't have mattered. Depth, in this game, is not an excuse. We lacked focus. It's to be expected with a noon kickoff against a cupcake. I think Butch needed to send a message to the fans that the team IS focused and he failed.

The next two teams have defences and the potential to capitalize on mistakes. I think this staff already has a lot to analyze in the off-season - a lot of time to be looking in that mirror.

If we lose either of the next two games (if we lose both, it's a no brainer) then Butch and the BSiA have to do extraordinary things in 2016 to continue receiving paychecks from the UTAD. There is simply not one excuse left for less than 8-wins. Team 120 will be play-off level special if they have the coaching.

Dude you're the most bipolar poster on this board. Lets just fire everybody. I mean it has worked out so well since 2008.

I don't really see why anyone actually thinks we beat Mizzou next week.

Are we the better team? Of course. But a night game, coming off an emotional win, their coaches last game, against a team we've never beat.

Butch just doesn't win games like this. I'm preparing for the worst. Hope we don't get up 2 TD's early, pretty much a guaranteed loss.

Believe me, I hope 8-4 regular season happens, but anyone who thinks winning against Mizzou and Vandy will be easy is taking a break from reality judging from the past six plus quarters of play from the Vols.

With that said, GO VOLS!!

Yes, Vandy gutted out a win against a team we blew away. 119 has played well in big games this year. We were 2 minutes from beating Alabama. Unless UT wins every game in a season by 50 points, the negavols are going to be complaining. Anyone that expected better than 8-4 this year, expected too much.

Sorry but you cannot use the past six plus quarters of play from either team to judge anything. Totally different game. Just saying.

What have you seen from Mizzou that makes you think they can beat us? The BYU game? The Georgia game? How about the Vandy or UK games?

One thing is for sure, I absolutely cannot stand how the SEC handles OOC. I get the instate rivalry games (Fla/FSU,SC/Clemson,GA/GA Tech etc), but these cupcake OOC games during what should be the biggest month of any team's season, are just flat annoying. It is obvious that Tennessee just did not give a damn about yesterday (to quote what someone posted), and I can only imagine how this feels having to stop what you are doing to make time for something trivial. This game should have been played in Week 4 not Week 10. Yes, it is troubling, but it's hard to get too riled up, when I feel the same way. I'm more concerned over the SC near miss, than I am for yesterday, and I hope they come out firing on all cylinders for Mizzou as they are going to need it.

Of course you can judge how teams are progressing or regressing during a season. UT hasn't played well lately and that has to change. UM and VU are playing inspired football. If that doesn't change, 8 regular season wins will be in jeopardy. UT hasn't defeated UM since they joined the SEC, and Vandy has a good defense. Coming off a sloppy win with NTS along with nearly blowing the SC game, don't count on it. I'm hoping for 9-4 after a good bowl win, but I'm just keeping it real and so should everyone else.

GO VOLS

After watching our offense lately and knowing how sadly predictable we will be going against their pretty good defense in their stadium it's hard to imagine us scoring 14 pts in the full game, let alone early. Butch has unfortunatelly alredy proven over last 2 years he can't move the ball against that defense. Dobbs was pretty pathetic both times he played them as well (because they take away the run from the beginning).

I would say our odds of winning out remain about 69-70%
