So did Hooker lose the Heisman today?

If Bennett leads the Bulldogs to an SEC Championship; I think he deserves it and you really can’t argue with his stats. He was the best player on the field today.
I'm not sure about that either, any decent system qb could look that good with all those 5 star players around him.

Probably but he’s not out of it. As I mentioned in another thread, Peyton had 2-3 games his senior year where he played like crap and we all still believe he got hosed.

Hooker getting to the ceremony will still be likely. May not win it, but it’s only a few more years until Nico will get a shot.

He’s #2 behind Stroud. Have to think Stetson played himself in the race.

Stroud was trash today against a 1-7 team. Bryce Young isnt playing well (mostly the rest of his O). Who is going to take it from those 2?

He's definitely no longer the front runner. Will need outstanding games to close out the schedule.
Well the good news is Stroud was arguably even worse. Both did not have a good day. Maybe Stetson gets into the conversation

Lost by 14 to the AP #1 team. Plays on a team everyone predicted to win 7-8 games.
He's definitely still in the running. Win out and he probably still wins it.

He'll get an invite but that's all he was going to get anyway. It's nothing special anymore. Everyone knows the bias that's involved. It lost all value to me when they screwed Peyton over.

Probably. He other threw two TD passes, held the ball too long and was sacked a bunch of times. Likely the worst game he has played as a VOL. I realize the Oline played poorly, he also made some bad decisions. However, the Oline had problems with false starts and forced him to make decisions very quickly.

The dumbest thing about this individual award is the fact a team loss is disqualifying.

Stroud will pull ahead with a win against Michigan. Hooker is out of Heisman moments with no trip to the SECCG

But they won so that still helps his cause..
Forget Heisman. Did today hurt Hooker NFL stock
Every team/player has what I've been calling a "stinker". Today was Hookers and the Vols and it happened against the best team in college football. Don't see how one game would change how a player is seen as a prospect unless it was something that called his character into question.

Stroud had that long run toward the end of that game. Told myself right there that he'd won it with that one play. The voters will fall at his feet and worship him for any play he makes from today going forward. I'm fully prepared to see how the media highlights the poor performance Hooker had right along side anything good that Stroud did. Just the way that thing works.

IT WAS 1-7 Northwestern.

Not @ AP #1 UGA (#2 Scoring D in FBS).
