So did Hooker lose the Heisman today?

The oline gave him 6-8 seconds in the pocket.

Nearly all of those sacks were on Hooker today.
This exactly… anyone that views it otherwise doesn’t understand the job they did do today.
Hendons inability to throw the ball away or read pre snap coverage today was a much bigger impact than penalties and certainly cost him any chance at the heisman.

Stroud was 10/26 for 76 yards today and no td's against Northwestern. So, Idk you tell me.
They’ll give him a pass because of the wind, as they should. In the end I think Michigan RB undeservingly wins it over Bennet

Love Hooker however he didn’t do himself any favors today.

However his closest competition had 76 passing yards and 79 rushing yards nothing else.

So he should still be right there. This week could have helped a couple others really get in there and make things tight.

Stroud didn’t do anything behind him either
But just like when Woodson won it over Manning. Stroud will be in last game of significance. Hooker just had his. Now he will have opportunity to do what Stroud did first half of season. Pile stats in these last 3 games but they are against bad teams. Strouds last impression if he plays well will be against the probably 2nd or 3rd team in Michigan however the rankings are at that point. Even then I almost feel like they may vault the Corum from Michigan in front of Michigan.

Yes, I think so. Hooker really disappointed me with his bad decisions and overall demeanor in the game. The one fumble in the backfield he just watched and didn’t even attempt to recover it ( reminded me Cam Newton in the Super Bowl ) then looked completely rattled instead of showing those elite leadership skills like what a heisman hopeful QB displays.

There was a play in the 4th where Hooker was scrambling and about to go out of bounds and our tight end (I believe) was left by the guy covering him and for a split second he was wide open and Hooker lowered his head and ran out of bounds. He had just a smidgen of a moment to simply flip the ball to him for a big gain...ala Mahomes let's say...and he baled. I was very disappointed. The overthrows were atrocious as well. 21 points left off the board at least. He looked like a qb not ready for the moment. But...he's also a big reason why we're 8-1. Let's just say he has some big flaws we hadn't seen before. He's still a great player all in all...just not as good as he was being hyped.

On that running play you are mentioning, I'm pretty sure we was already past the line of scrimmage by the time Warren came open. I saw it too, but it seemed to me that he was covered until he ran past the line.

It was the first time this season he’s been indecisive. I think he was just used to seeing players more open. How he plays next time we play UGA will answer your question
Maybe so, but it's difficult to see receivers with behemoths in one's face. GA defense just manhandled Tennessee OL.

Well...yeah all that's true.
But HEUPEL needs to grow as well.

From the QB pocket camera angle everyone could see that Hendon had nowhere to throw most of the time.
He has to use his legs more in these games... This isn't a Hooker or Heupel. UGA is just simply better. We killed ourselves with presnap penalties and the atmosphere got us. They out played us kicking field goals on the road is never good. Learn get better we will see them again.

Closing out the season with 3 strong performances he could make the Final group, but I agree with others on this thread the award is rather meaningless in the grand scheme.

DraftKings has Hooker right behind Stroud. I think Michigan beats OSU. We should destroy the teams we have remaining. One bad game that wasn't as bad as Stroud. Hendon completed 70% of passes. Not a ton of yards and only HIS SECOND INTERCEPTION of the season.
Yall are all crazy if you think he's out. He's got a great chance as long as nobody has a Woodson game. Bennet isn't winning it. Young lost it tonight too. It's a two horse race unless Caleb Williams or Corum just go crazy.

Have you forgotten the absolute masterpiece he painted against LSU and Bama back to back?
Peyton lost because he completely fell off a cliff the last few games. As long as Hooker picks right back up next Saturday, and I see no reason to think he won't. Georgia's D plus that insane crowd played a huge role today. Neyland next game then Neyland East Coast and Neyland Nashville after that.

When he wins it I expect everyone saying F the Heisman to stay quiet and keep that loser attitude to yourself. Heupel is changing the culture around here and that pissy cry baby attitude and "woe is me, we suck and I'm gonna make everyone else miserable with me" mentality needs to go away.

If I had told yall we would go 11-1 and go to the Sugar Bowl 3 months ago, every last person reading this would have pleasured a donkey if it guaranteed that kind of season.
Hell with Bama and Clemson losing plus the LSU win looking even better, we're pretty much in the playoff as long as two things happen. First, TCU has to lose a game. Any game. Second, Georgia has to win out and win SEC championship. If those highly probable outcomes happen, I think we sneak in.

Now we'll have to play UGA again but on a neutral field I actually like our chances. As great as it went for them, they really didn't KO us. They got a quick submission on us but our head is free of CTE. On a neutral field with a crowd half Orange and our coaches able to reset the game plan, it's not out of the question for Tennessee to win that game.
Have a little faith in our coaches. We are still in this.

Hendon is fine. His signature moment was the Bama game and one poor game on the road vs arguably the best team in the country doesn’t change that. Lamar Jackson lost two straight to lesser teams to end the regular season in 2016 and still won the Heisman by a landslide.

Hooker drops 10+ TD on the remaining teams..he still has the shot. Like folks said the other dude at Ohio had a worse day (but the team won).

He will be invited but I don't see him being the one that gets it. We will see. CJ Stroud is probably in the driver's seat.
