Peay yes, USA no. S.Ala is now a D-1 program; or what we USED to call D-1. This is their second year as football members of the Sun belt-----(Troy, ULL, ULM, ect)

IMO if Jones wins 2 SEC games he will already tie the SEC wins Dooley had in 2 years. That would show improvement....

Dooley only had what 5 SEC wins in 3 years...out of those 5, 3 wins came in year 1.

Austin Peay is a Division1 team. Plays in the Ohio Valley Conference. South Alabama is Division 1, plays in Sun Belt Conference

Wow I wouldn't think accidentally putting does instead of do would jack up this thread so much lol and the sad thing is I'm pretty good at English (I'm a perfectionist) :/ I don't know what I was thinking. And yes I'm quite aware I use gotta instead of have to but its faster... and yes I realize I used "and" to start a sentence. Glad yens's gotta a laugh. Y'all've mustive ben board (worlds 1st double contration).

Back to the topic at hand. I want progress in terms of performance on the field. OUr D sucked last year and never got any better. Wins were only the result of outscoring the other team (yes, stating the obvious but you get my point). I want to say at the end of the season next year - this guy can coach 'em up. If he can recruit as well, then I'm good. Win/loss record starts to matter in year 3 and beyond.
