So for us streaming cable cutters…..

We have YouTubeTV that we split with family so we workaround the crazy cost that way. And we also share a Hulu+Disney+ESPN+ account that gets us the non-major network games. Unfortunately that Hulu+Disney+ESPN bundle is what you're going to need in order to catch those "ESPN+/SEC Network ALT" games. Not sure of a legit way around it outside of maybe trying the free trial path under different accounts or something.

i signed up for FUBO, it has all the sports, i used the free trial and then cancelled it. the picture quality is pretty good and they have a bunch of channels and more sports channels. I am not sure which streaming service i'll sign up for prior to this weekend. my family doesn't watch near enough tv to get our moneys worth. I've used sling, youtube tv, but not HULU. I can't waste money on Disney.

The problem with that right now is that DirecTV Stream doesn't have ABC due to a pricing dispute, and they won't say when it will be resolved. The only I've found around it is a digital antenna ($10 and free service) or the ABC App and hope they show the game on the app.
i purchased a digital antenna and got close to 40 channels. it's pretty impressive.

Completely forgot about Fubo! I used them a while back but wanted additional channels that they didn't have at the time.

As much as I dislike DirecTV, this thread has convinced me I am better off to keep the service.......
When I switched from Directv to Directv Stream, and using Roku, saved about $135 per month, the picture and sound both got better, and got tons more stuff, because it opened up the world of being able to add APPS to Roku. Plus, could share Directv Stream with others. Highly recommend. Plus, it is not effected by the weather, and you can watch Directv Stream on your phone and tablet, as well as your tv, so you can watch the game on your phone when you’re away from home. 🙂

We use Directv Stream and, just checked, we have the ABC station.

I am sure the info has already been posted somewhere, but for us folks who got rid of most cable and switched to streaming; how do we make sure to get the maximum number of Vols games?
Last year, I caught almost all of them on YouTube but based on week 0 experimenting Saturday, it’s looks like those are getting shut down for copyright infringement much more quickly this year.
I tried the crazy Disney ESPN+ bundle once but never could get it to work.
What is the path to streaming enlightenment oh fellow Vol fans?

I'm a Hulu live user, thought that with the Hulu, espn+, and disney + bundle thru verizon would work but still need the extra for all the games.

I use YouTube TV. It’s $79/mnth so on the pricey side but I cancel it after fb season. The quality is great and every game is available. Ive tried sling in the past and while it is cheaper, the constant buffering and inability to watch every game wasn’t worth it to me.

If paying for a service isn’t an option for you, download the ESPN+ app and use a family members/friends cable subscription login.

So do all the streaming services have a pricing dispute every year? Last year or year before it was YTTV, then directTV after that.

What do you mean by "the extra".

I have the Hulu with live TV and they throw in ESPN+ and Disney+ for $70 a month. With the exception of the Pac 12 thing, I'm pretty much covered. Everything ACC and SEC is covered by the ESPN+. B10 and B12 is there on the live part. Also got the Peacock premium thing for like $2 a month for a year over the summer for any spillover B10 games this year.

Fubo
Expensive, but it works. You can set it to record the entire season and you get thousands of hours of storage. I still have games from several teams from last season.

unless you plan to steal cable, you're gonna have to pay for something.

I like the layout of YoutubeTV. FUBO is cheaper as is Sling.

I really wish those peckerwoods at Disney would release the ESPN streaming app. ESPN+ is barely worth the money and I probably wouldn't pay for it if I didn't enjoy HULU and D+.

You don't have to steal. You also don't have to be ripped off by American media companies for the same content.

I canceled FUBO because they didn't have the NCAA basketball tournament games on TBS, TNT

I dropped DirecTV for YouTubeTV over a year ago now and I'm glad I did. The only thing I miss is not getting Bally Sports for Braves games.

I now pay $79.92 a month for YTTV plus another $16.41 a month for the Disney+ bundle with ESPN+ as well as the non TV service Hulu plus $5. 46 for Discovery+ all of that is still cheaper than what I was paying a month with DirecTV.

No such thing as a "digital" antenna. If there in good shape the same antennas from 1985 works just as good. (With new cable run)

If your close enough to the broadcast towers old rabbit ear antenna will still work as well.

Manufacturers around 2007-08 started adding "digital" to antenna boxes to take advantage of the switchover in 2009 when local stations went from analog to digital to sell more products making people think they needed a new antenna.

Streameast, typed as one word in your favorite browser.

Once on the site homepage, choose your sport, choose your game, and go full screen to get rid of the annoying live chat.😉
Tested against my daughter’s tv broadcast and It appears to run about 3-4 seconds behind on my fiber connection.
I watched every Vols game last season, multiple other college games and any bowl game I wanted to see.
