With all the coaches around here, waiting to see how all of you throwing around insults, can explain going to the second hardest venue in the SEC and winning.

Horrible offensive scheme. I appreciated the substitution strategy. Play who you can afford to play early on; wear down Vandy and let the starting 5 finish them off.

As stated before, one game doesn't make or break people's opinions. Despite the horrible reffing, handicapped coaching staff, and playing away - these players persevered and secured a tournament bid. Props to them, they have heart - Go Vols!

I'll be brief:

Vandy choked. Nothing about Tennessee's performance tonight was stellar except our capitalization off of Vandy's numerous boneheaded mistakes with the ball. I am so glad we got the win, regardless of how it happened. But Vandy helped us out a lot with all the turnovers and bad fouls.

edit: I forgot to mention that yes, in the later part of the second half the defense was actually quite spectacular. But there was a reason we were down. If the team played that well all game they can beat anybody.

same way i'd explain the wins versus pitt and nova, and the losses versus, oakland, coc, usc at home... and then there is charlotte.

honestly, i expected a win tonight. it's the only thing that makes sense with pearl teams. now i expect losses versus Miss St and USCjr.

We held them to about 8 or 9 points in the last 13 minutes of the game. How's that for stellar?

Yea UT's defense and attacking the basket had nothing to do with those things...quit being a negative nancy

Coaching was not the difference. Having to scrap the looney plan, on both ends, made the difference.

They missed a lot of shots, including FTs. The forced TOs were huge and defending Jenkins hard neuters them with Taylor making nothing.

It's amazing what a difference it makes when you hit your freethrows!! There such a huge factor and we've lost probably 4-6 games this yr due to baaad freethrow shooting. This game helps my stomach and nerves alittle about us making the dance, still wish we could see that Tennessee team vs Pitt and Nova show up again!

Don't be a clown. The adjustment didn't happen. Our offense still did it's stand around and watch silliness. Offensive boards saved our asses.

They hit free throws down the stretch. They actually got to the free throw line down the stretch for a change.
