So I was leaving my last class today around 4:25 and who do I see sitting in the commons area of the new Haslam Business Building? Only Monte Kiffin, David Reaves, and a few other guys I didn't get a good look at...Chaney may have been there too. (I was in a hurry.) But there are a few words I heard coming from the table as I passed. "There is only one QB coming in today and we need to get him." I had to do a double-take at first because I didn't expect to see Monte Kiffin sitting at a table right outside my classroom.

Dude! Why do you have a class scheduled so late on a Friday?

Haha...interesting you say that. This was actually the last time we will meet on Friday for the rest of the semester. My professor told us on the first day that we(students) are the only thing keeping him from a beer on Friday afternoons, therefore we will only meet on Mondays and Wednesdays.

AJ McCarron is rumored to be intown. I highly doubt it but that is what KNS said. I stated early " KNS is always right. haha"

Dude, my teacher not only continues to have the class late friday afternoons, he keeps us late bc nobody has classes after.

Btw, I didn't choose the time, its the only time the class is available. :)

Oh yeah, one more thing.... Jaq McClendon is also in my class and he looks to have lost a few pounds since last semester. I've had a class with him for about three straight semesters now.

If this is true -- this begs a bigger question. Does this solidify the thought that the new staff does not have hope for our existing QB's?

No.

One of the three we have now will start next year.

From the threads here and at GVX I believe we have one possble. Personally I think Stephens. But all I've read at both sites lean toward Kiffin having someone targeted for next year.

I don't really think anyone has any hope or faith for our existing QBs, nor do I believe they should be judged so harshly because of their performance last season. As some players have already proclaimed...Clawson's system was somewhat complicated...maybe they will be able to get into their "groove" with Kiffin's system; much like Ainge did when Cutcliffe came back to town. But if a solid QB prospect is willing to visit why not go after him?
