You want to nitpick. But if it helps, your chronology of the collapse is accurate. I'm saying the rot of gender switching and intra-sex was a big part of gnawing away at the foundation of Rome. That eventually accumulated and eventually brought them down. Empires like the ancient cedars of Lebanon, and Redwoods, don't just suddenly fall. It takes a lot of hewing and sawing to bring them down. That's what social decay did to Rome and it's happening to us. Now, if that's not enough for you, continue, by all means. Trying to reason with the unreasonable is a futile endeavor. And Homie just doesn't play dat.

I got to admit that's funny, and maddening, because governmental stupid is not so funny in reality And boy, did I see epic stupidity in the Great Society era. In fact, we're still feeling the effects of that brainless era. It could have been a great thing if it executed with a bona fide plan instead of just throwing fists full of money whether it was asked for or wanted or not.

Ah, I think you misunderstood my post as nitpicking. Couldn’t be further from the truth as you were 100% on point with your diagnosis. I just wanted to point out the irony of the fact that it was yet another issue that we are dealing with today (uncontrolled borders) that finally put the final nail in Rome’s coffin. I wanted to make the point that we are following Rome’s suicidal path on multiple fronts right now (including moral decay)

Arranged marriages are still common practice in many cultures today. Marrying earlier in ancient times also normal. I think it’s more nuanced than this format would permit discussion.

So, is there some parallel or point in comparing to drag performers performing in front of children?? Where are we going here?

Same thing I said, we are following the blueprint Rome did to their demise. You overlooked or ignored that. But nevermind, we are on the same track, even in the same direction, by accident or design. I'm on an L&N train, and you're a Pacific Union train. But a train as train, and a track is a track, whether parallel, merged, or a circular route.

The flip side is that Rome, for all of the obvious faults that eventually brought it down; still lasted about 1000 years between the expulsion of the Tarquinius and the eventual dissolution of the Western empire under Romulus Augustus. It was able to live for a long time just from the virtues of its founding as the Republic. Rome (founded as a Republic). lasted about 10x longer that the Greek Athenian “Democracy”. When you consider the Eastern Byzantine Empire, Rome actually lasted another millennium, all the way up to the Fall of Constintanople in 1453. Another interesting object lesson for today’s consideration when people start trying to tell us American is a democracy.

Your kids are not your property. You are their guardian/custodian because they are not capable of rendering informed consent on issues such as this. You should not be allowed to show your kids porn simply because they're your kids. And watching Arnold kill an alien in the jungle (while not exactly wholesome family friendly entertainment either) is not a direct equivalent to allowing a grown gay man to thrust his bulge in your kids face while singling a sexually explicit song.

The problem is multifaceted. Part of the problem is stupid parents who think they are being hip and progressive by taking their kids to see this stuff. The other problem is that the shows are marketed as family friendly for the express purpose of duping stupid parents into thinking they're doing something cool and progressive. But really, distilled to its most basic element, it is parents forcing a non-consenting kid to watch a gay men strut around in hypersexualized woman-face while mimicking sexual acts.

That being said, drag shouldn't be banned in whole. Adults ought to be able to see them if they want, but there is no legitimate reason that a kid ever needs to be present at one of these things.

America never was a democracy, and I dare say, never will be. I don't think it was for a lack of trying, it just never was the collective goal of the European immigrants. The nation is a unique form of a distributive dictatorship.

Cant vote for or against MTG as she is not my representative; but I sure as heck voted every chance got to get a better candidate that Il Duce Donald; and plan to work even harder to defeat him in 2024. might even contribute to and volunteer for one of the other candidates.
