So that quote by Zo about "true" fans wasn't a real quote

Rucker needs to humbled by taking a spot in the unemployment line. Unethical hack jobs like him should have no place in the media market.

I used to follow him on Twitter and dropped him. He's the primary reason I would never sign up for 247.

I am very glad Zo was misquoted/paraphrased/lied about by Rucker. It makes much more sense now. Zo may not be at the level we expect as a HC at this point, but he is a class act and good man. Rucker has been exposed for what he is - again.

Part of me is hoping Cuonzo takes us on a Final Four run and earns himself a better opportunity elsewhere. Knoxville is proving it isn't deserving of a good basketball coach. Why should he stay here when even the media stokes the fire of this smear campaign.

Except when we have a good one he's practically worshipped and plays in front of 20k on a regular basis.

Zo will be back next year unless he does leave on his own. 4th year, his team, NCAA or bust. If he can win 20+ games and make the tourney with next years team, I'd say the complaints will drop off 75%. If he does that and signs a top 20 recruiting class, he'll start feeling even more love.

If we have more bad losses, go to the NIT or worse and get no great 2015 class, the calls for his job this year will seem quiet by comparison.

Jerry Green brought some good basketball to Tennessee. Attendance was spotty and "love" was nonexistent long before he started calling out its fan base.

How many top 20 classes has Gregg Marshall, Shaka Smart, and Mark Few had? If next year turns out to be what most of you are predicting, then you can have at it involving his removal. The fact we're having this discussion while his team is preparing to play its biggest game in 3 years is a testament to this fan base's idiocy.

Lmao Rucker is back peddling and saying that he didn't put the tweet in quotes so he thought people would understand...what a tool. People are blowing him up on twitter.

In what world was Jerry Green a good coach?

And those guys don't have to play 18 games against major conference foes a season to even make the NCAA tournament. They also appear to be elite coaches, especially Marshall and Few. Which can overcome the lack to top 20 classes.

Zo is not an elite coach.

The fact that our biggest game in 3 years is a play-in game to the tourney (with 2 all-sec players, tallent and experience all over the court) is a testament to poor coaching.

Pretty blunt and alittle harsh but accurate.

Crazy.

I will take all of that. He and Bp aren't the only coaches.

Considering his NCAA appearances and winning percentages at Tennessee, he wasn't a bad one. Few and Marshall didn't become elite coaches over night. Which is exactly why the jury is still out for Cuonzo Martin

Wes Rucker is the biggest joke on twitter. I don't understand why people follow this guy or even respond to him. If you argue with him, he just twists your words around to make him sound right.

I started a Twitter account years ago for the sole purpose of following UT affairs, but Rucker is the reason I don't ever use it. Yeah, I could just unfollow him, but I don't like Twitter to begin with.

I quit following him a long time ago. Dude is a journalist that acts like a message board poster.
