Ill just repost this with what happened last year it had to be bama
Penn st won conference last yr and didnt get in even with head to head victory
Also OSU got shutout 31-0 when they did get in they would be playing Clemson again while bama has played 2 great games with them in the playoffs
Why make us watch the blowout again when we all wanna see good competitive football in the playoff
IMO it aint that hard frick OSUs better wins they had 3 or 4 great wins last year and it didnt mean ****
Oh yea didnt even mention Iowa loss
NOBODY wants to see JT Barrett in playoffs
It's slightly better than the BCS. Did they really et the 4 best teams though? How do we know for sure that UCF doesn't deserve a shot? I'll grant you that they play in a lesser conference and the competition isn't as stiff. But that's where my opinion differs from most. I'd like to see what they can do against Alabama or Oklahoma or whoever.
I'm clearly on record that I'd prefer a system that takes subjectivity completely out of the equation. What that system is I don't know. I just know that everyone has a different opinion on who the best 4 teams are.
I would have liked to see UCF with the other 3 teams, as well. If for no other reason than to (1) prove the Group of 5 don't really measure up, even at their best, or (2) prove the opposite, that they are being left out unjustly.
In fact, I'd have been more comfortable with UCF taking that 4th spot over Bama, than Ohio State taking it.
Care to elaborate?
Sure. You have a team in the final 4 that wasn't even good enough to win their own division, let alone their own conference. Same thing happened last year. Best teams means that a group of people get together and vote on who they think are the top 4 based on some subjective "eye test". Deserving means that you earned your way in by winning your conference. Right now we have an undefeated conference champion sitting at #12 in the rankings. Can you, I, or anybody else say for certain that they are not one of the 4 best teams in the country?
Hopefully UCF Rick Rolls Auburn. Then the Bama win will be even more meaningless.Sure. One loss shouldn't keep you out of the playoffs. If you win your conference championship. You didn't do that... did you?Admittedly, Bama's schedule was weak. However, Bama didn't get housed by any of the crap teams on their schedule. Can't say the same for tOSU.
