So what recruits do we lose now?

Since Fulmer is out, which recruits do we lose? I think Stokes and Giles are gone. :ermm:

If we lose the entire recruiting class and have to fill out our roster next year with all walk-ons, it's STILL A GREAT MOVE!

This is the question of all questions...I as well think we lose them and more but you never know...I think it depends on how long it takes to replace him and who

I dont know if we will really lose any recruits. anyone that has followed UT football had to know it would have happened sooner or later.

IMO it all depends on the speed and strength of the hire. Get to work Hammy!

i really dont think we lose too many. i could see toney williams go to lsu, schoefield maybe goes to usc. thigpen and hunter maybe will decomit, and we probably do lose either oku or giles. stokes appears to be pretty solid to us but well have to wait until feb. to really know. i was kind of hoping that it wouldnt be announced until after signing day just to keep this class. we will be back and we will have a good class still

Hopefully none...I think the recruits are just as curious as We are as to whom UT is going to hire to take over...Trust Me if We get Leach that the recruits we already have are for sure going to be excited about coming here.

i'm sure one reason it was done now was to have time to get the coaches who remain to try to salvage recruits. but it's worth it, no matter how many recruits we lose.

I remember reading a quote from both Giles and Stokes saying they were 100% vol...unless a coaching change happens.

Maybe we won't lose any...the AD must (we hope) have a plan. Why would you let the head coach go after bringing in a top 5 recruiting class before the season is over? The logical answer is that you have something up your sleeve that you can bring light to in a timely fashion. The only name out there who has no current home is Lane Kiffen. I hope this isn't the pick, but it is logical.

Leach is a RB's worst nightmare.

I don't want to see his gimmick pass happy offense on display at Neyland.

I think it had to happen before feb because of the coaching changes that will be made this year. I would expect auburn to make an announcement soon as well.

Did Boyd say that he was a Vols no matter who the coach was? I got a txt over the weekend from someone that said they read that.

I also think (though I have no inside info) that CPF may contact the recruits we have now and tell them to stay. He is a good recruiter and knows the next HC will need them in orange to be successful. I have no doubt he still wants UT to succeed

I agree,

Everyone knew it was coming, just a matter of when.

I don't think we will loose any recruits, well depending on how quick we hire a new coach, and who the new coach is will really depend i believe.

I'm almost positive that Boyd is gone. In the paper the other day, they interviewed him and they asked what he thought on the chance Fulmer would be fire and he said something like

I'm not worried about it, both coach Fulmer and Mike Hamilton have assured me it won't happen. So I think he's as good as gone.

I think we will lose those already teetering on the edge like Allen, but we will keep most. The thing is, I wouldn't be surprised to see one curveball.
