Do we lose any big name players because of this..

basically, Jones or Berry.. the only to who have stuck up for Fulmer repeatedly

I don't think you'll see any of our main contributors (BERRY, Jones) transfer due to the fact that they don't want to have to sit out a year. Possibly someof the younger players but I really think they willl want to see who the next coach is just as much as we all do.

Saban is ruining Alabama football, please don't compare Fulmer to that slimeball.

kinda of a wait n see, obviously the kids know TN is big time and if we get the right coach, we can retain a majority of them

There have been several articles on rivals about our commits' reactions to Fullmer's retire. I don't have a rivals membership so does anyone have any updates regarding this situation.

Im not sure about the majority of the recruits. I know oku and boyd have reiterated their intent to be vols unless we get a coach who runs the spread. Both have commented that they do not want to be a part of a spread offense. I would giles feels the same way which is way meyer cant seem to get him to change his mind. And i think boyd mentioned that stokes is solid in his commitment as well but im not entirely sure.

Over the weekend, four-star QB prospect Tajh Boyd (Hampton, Va.) gave his word to the Tennessee staff. On Monday his high school coach, Bill Dee, told The Daily Press out of Newport News, Va. that Boyd will remain committed to the Volunteers through the coaching change.

If we lose the entire recruiting class and have to fill out our roster next year with all walk-ons, it's STILL A GREAT MOVE!

That's a stupid statement. Considering the senior losses this year and the apparent level of talent behind them, the new coaches success will depend on not only signing a great class but on getting those kids on the field next fall.

If UT doesn't sign an SEC top tier class this year then they won't have success no matter who the coach is. They suffered some last year because of the problems and coaching changes. UT doesn't have the home base to afford two years like that in a row.

UT needs to name a guy as quickly as possible.

IMO, the new coach needs to retain the new coaches on O and drop all the holdovers. That will enable the coach to keep the bulk of the commitments. He can still replace those guys later if he isn't satisfied.

If these kids leave so be it. They might like new coach better. They might not have to redshirt or wait 2yrs to see the field

As great as it would be to keep everyone that has verballed on the ship, if they want to change their minds, that is their perogative.

We can't set our coaching search standards in order to meet the expectation of incoming freshmen. This will be the first of many classes in the process of moving the program forward, and i have no doubt we will land players down the line no matter what type of style we end up playing.

i had a chat with jarvis giles on facebook a while back. he said that even with the struggles this season, and the possibility of a new coach, he is a vol no matter what. Then i realized just a bit ago that he deleted me from his friends hahaha.

Any news on how many recruits have backed out of their commitments yet? just wondering since the news was dropped today..

I doubt many of them leave. Maybe a few, but not many. They will play here immediately more than likely. If they want to play they'll stay. There is always third string at florida otherwise.

Don't decommit. We will bring in a top flight coach to replace Fulmer. You will still be able to play for the best fans out there. And be remembered as the class that brought Tennessee back to the top. So don't decommit this is from us as fans. We'll love to have you here for the next three to four years. Heck stay five if you want. :)
