Maybe I'm wrong, but I saw picking us, then I think we would have pulled a surprise. I'm hoping that CBJ can mold alot of the 3 star guys into beasts. Johnny Football was a 3 star and look how that turned out!

I'm just making sure everyone knows where I stand on this staff now so no one tries to tell me I flip-flopped when we are still getting the **** kicked out of us by the rest of the SEC in 3 years.

I have seen enough of Butch Jones to make that call. I am not going to get my expectations up for a mediocre staff.

I've seen this again and again here at VN and I just don't get the logic. Yes, Jones' first class does not rank above Franklin's 3rd class. Forgetting, for a moment, that Vandy is coming off a 9-win season and a bowl victory, how exactly is Jones EXPECTED to have a better class of recruits? He had a few weeks to establish relationships. Franklin may have been working some of these kids for at least a year if not two!

I can only hope we get a chance to see Jones' 3rd recruiting class.

So, we should have expected to be worse than Vandy. This is where the football program has landed? It's cool, ground floor expectations is what got it to this point. You guys can have them. I will continue to expect better, and I will continue to call out the AD and the coaching staffs when they fail to deliver.

Look, I dont want to get shot or anything but both of those links have UT in the top 25...Given the crappy performance of the last few years and a staff that had a month to do this, it could be far worse. It is higher than Dooley had us when he departed and he had three years! Personally, I would be ok with a top 25 finish on the field this comming season. I mean we arent going to just "be great" in a months time...imo at least. Wish we had finished 1st, but some other teams have earned those spots ahead of us. We'll be back. GBO!

We aren't going to be top 25 this year. And signing one of the bottom four classes in the SEC isn't going to net you much in the long run. Prepare for another 3 years of being trounced in every meaningful game.

Like I said, you guys can have your optimism. I am going to save myself from being let down. You will all be on my side sooner or later.
