Not overreacting, I'm just making conversation about where we fall. I am still estatic about our season nonetheless. Tennessee football hasn't been this fun in a long time. This one definitely stings though. I figured we would at least be competitive. Our fanbase overreacts and don’t realize a 7-5 team(tops) is going to go 11-1.
I was very briefly excited about this possibility, maybe even more so than a potential playoff rematch blowout with UGA. I was 6 years old the last time we went to the Sugar Bowl, and it always seemed like it would be a blast to go to. Then I looked up the NY6 schedule and discovered it’s being played at noon (11 CT) this year. Hard pass. Probably just rather get a second shot at Georgia, even if we’re not quite ready to compete with them yet.Sugar Bowl at the very least
How far do we fall after this complete meltdown in all phases of the game, especially coaching? We are outmatched and the talent gap is wide, but we were absolutely unprepared.
We won’t fall far. It’s not like we got beat by Vandy. You make it sound like we got beat by an unranked scrub team. We are out of the playoff hunt, but we will still go 11-1 and a NY6 bowl game.
