So what's next?

Well I guess according to some fans, bench Hooker and start Milton so we can be unranked by the end of the season

I'm relaxed. Why does everyone think I'm losing my mind for posting this? Lol. It's comical.

We are having the season of our lives in too many years. I'm still enjoying the ride and I am still extremely proud of our team and staff.

I guess me saying we were outmanned and outcoached today has people stuck in their ways of calling out the negavol mentality. I'm far from it.

Right?!?!?

But yet if feels so bad right now...
...because we had a chance to rise higher. It was at our fingertips after we beat BAMA. There just wasn't any fight in us today. Hooker, our hero, did nothing to calm fears and show us he is a Heisman candidate. He had nothing to move the ball down the field. The one thing besides scores you need in any game is momentum. We could not generate that on a field away from home. A TD here and there could have given GA pause. They fired at will at one point.

If Clemson loses Michigan
I agree, but could see them really pushing Bama if they win tonight & trying to push tcu (who will probly lose to Texas next week) as well…
If Clemson loses, Michigan goes to 3 we drop to 4 & Bama moves to 5 with a win. TCU will move 1 spot to 6.

I don't disagree with you but from an execution standpoint the shooting ourselves in the foot has something to do with play calling
Just stop...Fire our coach right after give him 100 million...Get lost!

We were definitely way off our game today. It did feel like we have become so reliant on the deep ball that we didn’t know what to do when it wasn’t there.

slant was open all day...we got impatient and the few deeps available we missed.

Yup. I think Hooker or Heupel or everyone just got antsy and impatient taking the checkdowns constantly.... We are all so used to the big play and deep ball that maybe they thought it was autopilot. This was good learning lesson

We should blow out the remaining three opponents to finish the regular season 11-1. But we will need some help for the post season. We really need Alabama to have a second loss and we need Clemson to lose to Notre Dame. If those things happen and we finish the year as impressive as we should… There is a chance we could get that fourth playoff spot. Also it would be nice for Ohio state and Michigan to both end up with a loss by the end of the regular season.

Knowing how strangely the playoff committee has voted at times I’d hope for a TCU and Oregon loss too…

TCU did nothing to move up in the rankings today. The CFP made it clear they don't value TCU's ho hum type of winning vs weak opponents. I would be shocked if TCU is ranked higher than 7th come Tuesday night.

The key is dropping no lower than 5th on Tuesday. Which I do not think we have to worry about being #1 losing to #3.

I think we drop to 5th but wouldn't be shocked by 4th.

If we finish 3-0 with 3 blowout wins, we won't drop in the rankings as a penalty of winning our remaining games. Especially with two other top 5 teams in OSU / Michigan playing each other the last week as an elimination game.

Guys, lots of football to be played, anything can happen with 3 weeks to go.Ive got great faith we will be in the playoffs. There will probably be only 2 unbeaten teams when regular season ends,we as a 1 loss team just has to be higher than those other 1 loss teams!!Go Vols!
